Popular podcaster Matt Walsh has shared his thoughts on who will take Charlie Kirk's place following his sudden assassination. The conservative activist was shot dead on September 10 during an open-air talk at Utah Valley University.
On September 15, Matt Walsh took to X to speak about who could replace Charlie Kirk following his death. Kirk was a well-known Trump supporter and MAGA activist, and an important political voice in the United States. Walsh said nobody can replace the late media personality, writing:
"There's a lot of discussion about who will "replace" Charlie Kirk. The answer is that nobody will. There won't be a new Charlie, any more than there was a new Rush Limbaugh. These men are irreplaceable. One of a kind. All we can do is continue the fight in our own way. Which we will. But there will never be another Charlie Kirk."
Since Kirk's murder, Matt Walsh has been vocal about the assassination and paid his tribute to the deceased conservative activist. He dedicated the September 12 episode of his podcast, The Matt Walsh Show, in his honor and shared his personal grief while dealing with Kirk's death.
Kirk's death was followed by mourners and well-wishers sending in their wishes for his wife, Erika, and their two children. President Donald Trump also shared his condolences and confirmed that he would be attending the activist's funeral. Vice President JD Vance was seen accompanying Kirk's remains to his hometown in Arizona.
Matt Walsh claims Charlie Kirk would become the President of the United States one day

In the September 12 episode of The Matt Walsh Show, Walsh spoke at length about Charlie Kirk's ideas and his legacy. The podcaster claimed that he would one day become the President of the United States if he were alive.
"Everyone who knew him and so many who did not know him personally could tell that he was destined to be the president of the United States one day," he said.
In the same episode, Matt Walsh recalled how he had once disagreed with what Kirk had said. He mentioned that the deceased activist had publicly credited him for Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 Presidential elections. Walsh claimed that Kirk deserves more credit for Trump's success, and said:
“It was one of the very few times that I’ve disagreed with something that Charlie said. Uh the truth is that he was the primary reason why Trump won. And it was his organizing and advocacy and activism and mobilization that helped to turn the tide."
Both Charlie Kirk and Matt Walsh were vocal supporters of Donald Trump during his campaign in the 2024 Presidential elections. The Republican leader eventually beat the Democratic candidate and former Vice President Kamala Harris to win the elections. While remembering Kirk, Walsh said he was one of those people who credited others even when they did not deserve it.
Kirk, Walsh claimed, was the kind of person who is rarely found and "even rarer in business today." He also hailed him as a great man with great personal virtue and talents.
“He was too widely beloved, especially among the younger generations. So they killed him. I can only be honest with you in this moment and tell you that um that um I am sad, I am heartbroken and I am full of rage,” Walsh added.
Since Kirk's death, authorities have arrested a 22-year-old suspect, Tyler Robinson, in connection with the assassination. Robinson was handed over to the authorities due to the efforts of his father, while his family members and partner have also reportedly shared details with the investigators.
Tyler Robinson has yet to confess to the crime of Charlie Kirk's murder. Meanwhile, the deceased activist's funeral is set to be held in Arizona on September 21.
