Cooper attended BU in 2013 to study film and television and played on the women’s soccer team. Feldman coached from 1995 until retiring in 2022.

Boston University released a statement on June 12, 2025, responding to the allegations. They stated that the institute has a "zero-tolerance policy" and is dedicated to the well-being of its students, with an Equal Opportunity Office where both staff and students can report harassment, discrimination, or access barriers.

"Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office," the statement reads.

The statement continued as the University authorities urged its students and staff to report any concerns.

"We encourage members of our community to report any concerns, and we remain committed to fostering a safe and secure campus environment for all," Boston University stated.

On June 12, 2025, the podcaster uploaded a clip from her documentary on her Instagram. In the caption, she stated that the former soccer coach supposedly abused her power and made her life "a living hell."

"Nancy Feldman was someone I trusted. Someone I believed in. Someone who was supposed to help me grow. Someone who was supposed to protect me. But instead she made my life a living hell and abused her power over me. She stripped me of my identity and took away what I had worked my entire life for because she didn't control herself," Cooper wrote.

Alex Cooper stated that she and her parents went to the athletic director, Drew Marrochello, to complain. Her mother wrote down every alleged sexual harassment her daughter told her about, and when they showed it to Marrochello, he reportedly refused to read it or investigate the matter.

In the caption of the Instagram post, the Call Her Daddy host claimed she found out the harassment was reportedly ongoing at the campus, and Feldman's successor and my former assistant coach were allegedly behind it. Alex Cooper stated that she made the documentary to share her story and end the alleged "systemic" abuse.

"So when I found out the harassment and abuse was STILL happening on that campus today - 10 years later by Nancy Feldman's successor and my former assistant coach, I knew I needed to share my story. This is no longer just about me, this is systemic," she wrote in the caption.

According to USA Today's June 9, 2025, report, after the documentary's world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, Cooper stated during the Q&A that she expected people to express "retaliation or judgment"; however, she felt she needed to reclaim her life.

"It doesn't mean I'm not scared of retaliation or judgment or that people are going to pick this apart. I understand, but speaking about it has almost allowed me to get one step closer to reclaiming this thing that has felt like a dark cloud over my life," she stated.
