As the Golden Buzzers continued to roll out this season—with each judge and Terry allowed two picks—Mel B made her first selection of the episode. The night included a variety of acts from aerial acrobatics and dancing robots to close-up magic and vocal performances.

Mel B awarded her Golden Buzzer to Charity Lockhart, a singer who shared her story of performing in clubs while her family experienced homelessness. Though her first act was stopped by Simon, she returned with a second song that changed the panel’s response.

Meanwhile, Simon pushed hard to save Italian dance group Urban Theory after a split decision from the judges. As the audience chanted, Simon convinced Howie to change his vote. From joke acts like Spaceman Bob to polished routines by performers like Benjamin Hightower and aerialist couple Julia and Dmytro, the episode continued to showcase the range of talent on AGT season 20.

Charity Lockhart’s first a cappella performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow left Simon Cowell unimpressed. He stopped her and asked, “Have you got another song?” After a break, she returned with Golden Slumbers by The Beatles.

America's Got Talent judge Simon complimented her second choice of song, saying that "this is what a great audition is all about. That was one of those auditions, it was that good." Before hitting her Golden Buzzer, Mel B praised:

"Every once in a while you see somebody, you connect with them, and they just bring more and more to the table and I just wanna give you this right now... You are incredible."

Charity was sent straight to the live shows. Her story of supporting her family while experiencing homelessness added depth to her audition, and the judges responded positively after her second attempt. Sofia called the moment moving, and the audience gave a standing ovation as gold confetti rained down.

Urban Theory, a dance group from Italy and Los Angeles, performed a synchronized, screen-friendly routine blending movement and visual patterns. Simon appreciated the act, saying, “It just blew my mind actually,” while Sofia called it “spectacular.” However, Howie and Mel B weren’t fully convinced.

“There’s no doubt that you guys are incredible, but… it didn’t blow me away,” Howie admitted.

Mel B echoed that view, saying, “You nearly had me, but not quite.” With only two votes of “yes,” the group’s fate rested on Howie’s decision. After Simon urged him to reconsider, and the audience began chanting in support, Howie changed his vote to “yes,” securing their spot in the next round. Although Mel didn’t change her vote, the group advanced with three nods.

Other highlights from this episode of America's Got Talent included aerialists Julia and Dmytro Turkeev performing in a rain shower, impressing all four judges. The Osaka Philharmonic delivered a musical-comedy act that involved dry ice and Simon’s participation.

Benjamin Hightower’s cover of Pink Pony Club earned praise for his unique tone. The Leo High School Choir moved the panel with their powerful vocals, while Boston Dynamics' dancing robots presented a technical yet lively routine.
