On June 17, 2025, 1000-Lb Sisters shared a new video on the official TLC Instagram account, featuring Amy and Tammy Slaton revisiting a familiar location from their early weight loss journey — a local dumpyard. In the video, Amy said:

“The last time I had been to this dumpyard, I felt like complete trash, the size of a tractor.”

That moment happened six years ago. A flashback clip followed, showing Amy and Tammy talking to Ronnie from S&S Salvage. Back then, they were trying to find a scale that could measure their weight so they could qualify for bariatric surgery. Ronnie, who worked there, said he was “glad” to help. He was still there during their recent visit and welcomed them again.

In the old clip, Amy weighed 406 pounds and was seen crying. Now, she weighs 249 pounds and said she feels proud of her progress. Tammy, who weighed 605 pounds at the time, has lost over 400 pounds and now weighs 238. Returning to the dumpyard reminded them of how much they’ve transformed in the past six years.

Amy and Tammy revisit where their weight journey began in 1000-Lb Sisters

In the new TLC video, Amy and Tammy returned to the same dump yard they had visited six years ago, marking a full-circle moment in their journey. A flashback clip of 1000-Lb Sisters showed them speaking with Ronnie from S&S Salvage, who had helped them back then find a scale to check their eligibility for bariatric surgery.

When Amy stepped on the scale in that old video, it showed 406 lbs. In tears, she admitted:

“This is the most I’ve ever weighed.”

Tammy, who was at 605 lbs at the time,

“It’s my fault that I’m this size,” she shared.

In the present-day video, Amy weighed 249 lbs. While talking about her progress, Amy mentioned she still had more weight to lose in 1000-Lb Sisters. Tammy quickly supported her, saying she had already lost 150 pounds and should be proud of that.

Ronnie, the same worker from their first visit, greeted them warmly and expressed his happiness at seeing how much they had changed. The visit brought up a lot of emotions. Tammy now weighs 238 pounds, having lost over 400. For both sisters, returning to the dumpyard evoked old memories—but this time with a new outlook.

What once felt like a low point now reminded them of how far they’ve come. Instead of focusing on where they began, they were able to appreciate the progress they’ve made.

Amy continues her journey while balancing motherhood and personal growth

As of 2025, 1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton lives in Morganfield, Kentucky. She’s working on her health while raising her two children and preparing for a Halloween-themed wedding with her fiancé, Brian Lovvorn. Since undergoing weight-loss surgery in 2019, Amy has gone from 406 pounds to around 230.

Although she has made physical progress, Amy has encountered several personal and legal challenges. She divorced Michael Halterman in 2023 and became engaged to Brian.

In September 2024, Amy and Brian were reportedly involved in a case concerning illegal possession and child endangerment at the Tennessee Safari Park. These events drew public attention but haven’t deterred Amy from sharing updates about her life and transformation.

Amy was born with congenital toxoplasmosis, a rare eye condition that left her legally blind. Nevertheless, she remains active on social media and continues to appear on 1000-Lb Sisters. Her journey now encompasses more than just weight loss; it also includes motherhood and the rebuilding of her personal life.
