In the June 10 episode of America's Got Talent, a diverse lineup of variety acts stepped on stage, hoping to leave a lasting impression on the judges and perhaps earn a Golden Buzzer. Among the contestants was a group of robot dogs from Boston Dynamics, which auditioned with a choreographed dance routine to Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.

By the time the five robot dogs completed their dance routine, the panelists were on their feet, and so were the viewers, applauding what they saw.

Although one of the robots shut down in the middle of the act, Boston Dynamics managed to secure four yeses from the America's Got Talent judges and proceed to the next round of the contest. Netizens on X shared their opinions on the performance. While many were impressed by their skilled routine, others were unsure about watching robots perform in a talent show.

"This is what happens when you give 90’s kids who connived their parents into getting them these little puppies “Grown Up” money," another netizen commented.

The act started strong with five four-legged robots dancing to Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. However, seconds into the performance, one robot shut down, while the rest continued the act.

"That one's gone to sleep," America's Got Talent judge Mel B said.

The robots bowed at the end of their performance, which received a standing ovation from all four panelists and the audience in the auditorium.

While reviewing the act, Simon Cowell told the Boston Dynamics team representative, Mary, that it was "weirdly better that one of them died" because it showed how difficult it was. Moments later, the dead robot sprang back to life, surprising the judges.

Sofia Vergara also reacted positively, saying,

"That was super exciting and great, different. I mean, we had like something bad feeling when he just passed out in front of us. Yeah, but the party kept going, which was really weird."

Howie Mandel was amazed by the performance and said it was an act he had never seen in the 20 years of America's Got Talent. Mel B mentioned that her mind was "blown" because she, too, had never seen anything similar before.

"Well done, it's quite mind-blowing," she added.

The judges then took a vote and advanced Boston Dynamics to the next round of the competition.
