The Chi season 7 episode 5 ending: Alicia wants to pay Pastor Zeke for his help

Alicia reveals her plans at the end of The Chi season 7 episode 5. She wants to kill everyone who kills without a conscience. Despite her thinking that she had already found justice for Rob's death after killing Zay in The Chi season 7 episode 1, Alicia is hell-bent on making sure that the community is safe by taking out the people who threaten it. She doesn't want what happened to Rob to repeat.
She just so happens to have an idea of who can help her with her plan, Pastor Zeke. After the yacht party, Shaad forgets that he has to take her home. Pastor Zeke, who is also having a yacht party with the congregation, offers to take Alicia home. They get to talking about Alicia wanting to clean the streets and kill anyone who does bad things.
She wants Pastor Zeke to become her eyes on the dark side of the South Side and to tell her about anybody who fits the description. Pastor Zeke, however, is hesitant to do it because those people are just beginning to trust him. However, Alicia offers him something that makes him stop and consider becoming her partner.
Alicia offers him a few million, which she says can help him finally jumpstart the expansion plan he wants. While Pastor Zeke claims that he knows rich people, Alicia tells him that her friends are richer. The Chi season 7 episode 5 ends with Pastor Zeke still considering Alicia's offer.

Bakari gets a book deal in The Chi season 7 episode 5, but he doesn't want it

Alicia holds a yacht party with her rich friends in The Chi season 7 episode 5, and she introduces Bakari to someone who can help him publish his book, Hannah. She works in publishing, and she and Bakari talk about his book and story. Hannah wants Bakari to pitch his story right then and there, so he tells her about being in foster care and needing to hustle to turn his life around.
Hannah is excited—she thinks Bakari's story could be a bestseller. She already has an idea of how to sell it, but she's too eager to sell and cash out on Bakari's life story for his liking. He further gets offended when Hannah implies that he's selling dr*gs to make money, which Bakari says isn't true.
That said, Hannah wants life rights to Bakari's book, and she also wants to turn it into a movie. Hearing all these, Alicia says she's proud. However, later in The Chi season 7 episode 5, Bakari tells Alicia that he doesn't want the deal, and he doesn't want Hannah to handle his book. He wants to tell his story, but he doesn't want people blatantly profiting off it.
Bakari also tells Professor Gardner that he wants to self-publish his book. While the professor and his wife said that it's not impossible to do, it would require much harder work, Bakari replies that he's not afraid to put in the time and effort to get the book out there the way he wants.

Reg is back in The Chi season 7 episode 5, this time he's back on the police's radar

So far, only a few people know that Reg is not dead. In The Chi season 7 episode 3, only Jake and a friend know that he faked his death and kept a low profile until he found the right time to return. Douda's death just happens to be the thing Reg has been waiting for so he can return to his old life and possibly take over the mob.

However, in The Chi season 7 episode 5, Reg is also back on the police's radar. Detective Alice Toussaint receives a call from his son, who's still in prison. He tells her that Reg is alive, prompting her to investigate.
At the end of The Chi season 7 episode 5, she shows the photos of the robbers from the ATM cameras to her colleague. Two people have been robbing ATM machines in the area, and she believes one of them is Reg. Meanwhile, unknown to her, the other one is already dead after Nuck killed him for defying his instruction to avoid being flashy and to lie low.
