On March 25, 2024, Taiwan-based fashion label PHANTACi revealed a teaser indicating its partnership with Nike to offer their co-designed Nike Air Max 1 variation. Following the teasers, the partnering labels recently disclosed the upcoming sneaker design.

This latest PHANTACi x Nike Air Max 1 is dubbed “Piano.” The PHANTACi x Nike Air Max 1 Piano shoes will be entirely decked in a White/White-Black-Metallic Gold-Pink Rise palette. These shoes are expected to be offered via the online sites of the partnering labels in the coming weeks.

Since its introduction, the Nike Air Max 1 has been a sneaker design classic that has consistently resonated with sneakerheads as well as the general public. Tinker Hatfield, an acclaimed designer, was responsible for the creation of this shoe, which was the first to include Nike's noteworthy Air unit and radically changed the landscape of sports footwear.

Amid its numerous versions, the joint colorway of the Air Max 1 Piano stands out as a symbol of uniqueness. It was produced in 2009 as an ultra-limited version in cooperation with the PHANTACi shop in Taiwan. Because there were only 400 pairs available at the beginning, it immediately became a highly sought-after collector's piece.

The PHANTACi and Nike social media accounts have announced that the Air Max 1 in Piano colorway will be available again in 2024, which will be great news for everyone who missed out on the last release.

The Air Max 1 Piano of 2024 will be similar to its previous version. This joint variant boasts a sleek contrast between the white foundation layer and the black patent leather mudguard, vamp, and collar that are featured on the sneaker's top, which is an upscale mix of patent leather and mesh.

The heel tab is adorned with a golden hue, which is reminiscent of the beauty of the instrument that bears its name. The dubrae made of black lace, along with the additional one made of pink lace that is included in the packing and bears the inscription "Piano," are examples of the dedication to detail that exists.

The design is finished off with a clean white foam Air Max 1 midsole plus a pink rubber outsole that balances off the design. The interior is elevated with a velvety, velvet sock liner in pink.

Keep an eye out for the forthcoming PHANTACi x Nike Air Max 1 Piano rendition that will supposedly arrive in the coming weeks. Interested readers and other sneaker enthusiasts are encouraged to stay in touch with the brands’ sites for timely alerts on their releases.

In addition to the abovementioned Air Max 1, the popular shoe model was also launched in other general colorways recently. Iterations like “Dusty Cactus” and “Summit White/Alabaster” were dropped for sale a few days ago.

These two colorways are easily accessible via the Nike online store. While Dusty Cactus is marked with a $160 price tag, the Summit White/Alabaster variant is worth $160 per pair.
