Royal Rumble is just around the corner and the list of the entrants is out. However, more participants are expected to join in. Here is the list of the entrants that you will see in the special event.
First person to enter the Royal Rumble was 2008 winner, John Cena . He is the favourite to win the event. The Rock will face CM Punk for the WWE championship and should he defeat CM Punk, it’s expected that Cena will use a Rumble victory to set up a rematch from last year’s WrestleMania.
Sheamus
Last year’s Rumble winner will return to the match to defend his crown. Should he win, he’d be the first person since Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1998 to win two in a row.
Randy Orton
Orton is the third previous winner to be included in the Royal Rumble. Randy might not be the out and out favourite, but more often than not, the Rumble is won by one of SmackDown’s top stars.
Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler can make history by just showing up for the Royal Rumble match, if he retains his Money in the Bank briefcase. He would become the first person to hold the contract while entering a Royal Rumble. If Ziggler wins the Rumble, it will give him two guaranteed major title shots.
Heath Slater
Previously, Slater had appeared in the 2011 Royal Rumble as a part of The Corre. This time he enters with 3MB. Slater may not be one of the favourites but his role as leader of 3MB may give him the chance to shine.
Jinder Mahal
Mahal had previously appeared in 2012. Mahal may become the most important member of 3MB depending on the entry numbers of him and other members from 3MB.
Drew McIntyrePreviously having entered the 2010 & 2011 Royal Rumbles, McIntyre is the most experienced member of 3MB.
Antonio CesaroThe current US Champion will be making his Royal Rumble debut this year. He is expected to make some difference in the ring, given his recent form and talent.
Wade BarrettThe current Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett will take his title into the Royal Rumble match. Barrett is known to be a brawler and is the right candidate for the Rumble, and could clock up a decent time.
The MizMiz was the first man to enter in the last year’s edition of Royal Rumble. He went on to become the Iron Man of 2012.
