Poor old Triple H. Despite trying for years and years to topple this list and become the single greatest Superstar in the history of the business, the COO of WWE will, unfortunately, have to settle for joint eighth.
That being said it's still a great place to be, with nine WWE Championship reigns to his name with the latest actually beginning this time last year in the 2016 Royal Rumble match.
However, HHH's relationship with the title was extremely bipolar, with the average length of his reigns being just 67 days. Given that The Game has transitioned into a number of different eras it's hardly surprising, but considering how strongly he has been booked over the years, it's hard to believe that his overall total isn't a little bit higher than this.
Maybe some day, Hunter. Onto a man that has had his fair share of problems with the former Evolution leader.
