"The Beast Incarnate", Brock Lesnar, has been one of the most dominant and successful performers in SummerSlam history. Contrary to his famous gruff and arrogant on-screen character, this candid shot depicted Brock Lesnar giving Triple H a fist bump before he went out to the ring at SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar has been in the main event of every SummerSlam from 2013 to 2019 but "The Beast Incarnate" will miss the pay-per-view this year. His last appearance for WWE was at WrestleMania 36 where he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre in the main event of the second night of the show.

Many fans see an encounter between The Four Horsewomen of WWE(Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley) and the Four Horsewomen of MMA (Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamin Duke) as a dream match. In the picture above, the Four Horsewomen of MMA are hanging out together before SummerSlam 2018.

WWE has teased this dream matchup on many occasions. With Rousey and Becky Lynch both opting to start a family, fans might have to wait for a long time before they see these eight women tear it down in the ring.

#8 The Demon King has arrived at SummerSlam

"The Demon King" Finn Balor

"The Demon King" Finn Balor has a strong history at SummerSlam. At SummerSlam 2016, Balor made his in-ring debut on the main roster as "The Demon King" and became the first-ever Universal Champion when he defeated Seth Rollins. The Demon King also defeated Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam 2017.

The above behind the scene picture is from SummerSlam 2018. Balor made a surprise appearance as The Demon King and squashed Baron Corbin in their scheduled match. Unfortunately, Balor's winning streak at SummerSlam met a massive roadblock last year, courtesy "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.

After dating for a while, Andrade and Charlotte got engaged earlier this year in January 2020. While WWE has yet to acknowledge their relationship on-screen, the couple is very active on social media where they often post pictures together.

In a picture that contrasts with the one above it, Braun Strowman is holding his Money in the Bank briefcase backstage at SummerSlam 2018, presumably before or after his match against Kevin Owens with Strowman's Money in the Bank contract on the line.

While "The Monster Among Men" managed to win his match against Owens at SummerSlam, he was unable to successfully cash-in his contract later that year. Two years later, today, Braun Strowman will enter SummerSlam 2020 as the Universal Champion to defend his title against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.

#4 New RAW Women's Champion

Ronda Rousey move to the WWE in 2018 was a massive boost for the company and its women's division. With the credibility and mainstream audience that she brought with her, it was a win-win situation for WWE. After she made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey won the WWE RAW Women's Championship at SummerSlam 2018, defeating Alexa Bliss.

In the image above, Triple H congratulated her after her victory at SummerSlam. Ronda Rousey went on to hold the title until WrestleMania 35, where she faced Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the first main event featuring women on "The Grandest Stage of Them All." Becky Lynch who won the Winner Take All match. Ronda Rousey hasn't been seen on WWE programming since.

In the picture above, Roman Reigns can be seen chilling backstage with the Universal title around his waist.

Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE Programming ever since the COVID-19 pandemic has taken over, even dropping out at the last minute from his scheduled match against Goldberg at WrestleMania 36.

#2 Goldberg's return at SummerSlam 2019

At WWE Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia, Goldberg had a disastrous match against The Undertaker. The legend was highly disappointed with his performance and hoped to redeem himself. So, he had a match against Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam 2019. Goldberg had a great showing as he squashed Ziggler and looked to be in a much better condition than he was against The Undertaker.

The picture above shows Paul Heyman and Goldberg backstage at SummerSlam 2019. While many fans expected it to be his last match, Goldberg returned to WWE earlier this year and won the Universal Championship when he defeated "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. He later dropped the title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36.

Two years ago, "The Man" was born at SummerSlam 2018 when Becky Lynch turned heel after her match against Charlotte Flair and Carmella, and the rest is history. Originally she was supposed to generate massive heat, but "The Man" Becky Lynch got so over with the fans. So, WWE had to tweak their plans.

In the picture above, Becky Lynch is backstage after her match at SummerSlam 2018 with a very serious look on her face. There was no stopping her after this as she went on to win the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble Match. At WrestleMania 35, she became the first woman in WWE history to hold both the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championship at the same time after she won the Winner Take All Match.
