#9 Shelton Benjamin

Benjamin is an enigma
Benjamin is an enigma

Now, Shelton Benjamin's return to WWE was an odd one. He was advertised slightly prematurely before an injury halted the signing, but then there was no stopping the former Intercontinental Champion upon his return as tag team glory with Chad Gable awaited.

2019, though, has been an odd one for Benjamin. He competed in the Royal Rumble match back in January, being eliminated by Braun Strowman before returning to television on the March 11th episode of RAW to attack Seth Rollins - which looked like being the start of a push that never quite happened as he then faced Rollins in a losing effort.

Ever since, Benjamin has only been on television twice - to wrestle in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 in April, and the 51-man battle royal at Super ShowDown in June.

WWE seems to continually tease new gimmicks for Benjamin, but they never quite happen.
