The WWE Champion Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston has had a roller coaster year, to say the least. After taking Ali's spot in the gauntlet match and the Elimination Chamber match at the PPV of the same name, Kofi unexpectedly got over with the fans and just like that, he defeated Daniel Bryan at the Show of Shows to win the WWE Championship.

Kofi became the first African-American WWE Champion and has defended the titles against various opponents and still stood tall. The man born Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah in Ghana, Africa, has achieved what he worked 11 years for. A few months after winning the title, Kingston went back home to Ghana to showcase and celebrate his WWE Championship victory!
