Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts went into the battle against cancer with his head held high. And might I say, he managed to scare off one of the deadliest diseases in the world.

Roberts was diagnosed with muscular cancer back in 2014. He was affected right below his knee. As a result, he too had to undergo surgery for the successful removal of cancerous cells.

It was during this time when he said his infamous line, “If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine."

Jake Roberts had to undergo multiple surgeries in the months that followed. Finally, in July 2014, he announced that he has defeated cancer.

He was inducted in WWE Hall of Fame in April 2014. Roberts’ attitude towards cancer and his unbreakable spirit at the face of a storm continues to inspire millions around the world.
