10 WWE Superstars who have been roommates

It's hard for WWE stars to be able to buy a property when they are first signed to the company, especially when they are part of NXT and their income isn't high enough for them to be able to afford it.

This means that many WWE Superstars became roommates in their early years with the company, because it is much easier to split the cost of a room between two people, especially if these stars had a bad credit history.

WWE Superstars are completely different characters when the cameras are turned off, which means that some of the stars that have shared rooms in the past may not actually get along on-screen but they were able to split the bills off-screen.

#10 Johnny Gargano And Tomasso Ciampa

Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa have been friends for a number of years, throughout their time on the independent circuit and the duo are also former NXT Tag Team Champions.

Despite the fact that both Gargano and Ciampa are both married, the duo still managed to live together for a number of months after they were signed to WWE and positioned on their NXT roster before Ciampa decided to turn on his longtime friend.

Following the events of NXT Takeover: Chicago a few months ago, Ciampa decided to keep with the kayfabe and move out of the house that he and Gargano shared, he even updated a picture of his empty room to show that this really was the end of an era for the popular tag team.

#9 Ricochet And Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews was known as Uhaa Nation on the independent circuit for a number of years before he made his debut in NXT back in 2014. Crews obviously made a number of friends whilst working for much smaller promotions and one of these friends was Ricochet, who has become known as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground.

Ricochet and Apollo continued to live together in Florida even after he was promoted to the main roster and perhaps now earns enough to be able to rent his own apartment.

Tessa Blanchard has since moved in with the duo since she and Ricochet began dating and recently made appearances for WWE as part of the Mae Young Classic. For now, it seems that the trio seem quite happy with their current living arrangements.

#8 Yoshi Tatsu, Sheamus and Ted DiBiase

Sheamus and Ted DiBiase's living arrangements didn't last for long

It seems that Yoshi Tatsu, Sheamus and Ted DiBiase Jr all met whilst they were part of FCW a number of years ago and decided to live together.

It seems that even though they lived together, all three were not considered to be close friends and on a number of occasions the fact that Sheamus was a bad roommate caused problems. Sheamus would use many of his roommate's belongings without asking as well as making the place a mess without even offering to clean up.

Finally, things came to a head when DiBiase and Tatsu confronted Sheamus about these issues and Sheamus angrily threw a protein shake at Tatsu, he then responded by beating him with the shake. It seems that the trio worked out that continuing living together wasn't a great option after this.

#7 Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is one of the most intimidating stars that WWE has on their roster at the moment, so it's hard to imagine him ever attending college and sharing a dorm with another person, but it seems that this is exactly what he did.

The best part of the story is the fact that Brock's roommate went on to become a WWE Superstar himself. Shelton Benjamin helped train Brock when they lived together and it seemed that Brock repaid this by forcing WWE to sign Shelton when he was first poached by the company.

Even though it is well documented that Brock Lesnar doesn't like people, it seems that he and Shelton have remained close friends ever since, with him naming Shelton as the Godfather of his two eldest children.

#6 Stone Cold Steve Austin And Diamond Dallas Page

Stone Cold Steve Austin isn't friends with a lot of people, but it seems that whilst he was working in WCW alongside Diamond Dallas Page in the early 1990s, the duo stuck up a friendship that has lasted over the past few decades.

It was following the end of both stars wrestling careers that they briefly became roommates, after both men had divorced their famous wrestling wives.

DDP allowed Austin to stay in his apartment whilst he was filming The Devils Rejects back in 2005 and when Page moved into the apartment with 'The Rattlesnake' a few months later, he found that Austin had left the place in quite a mess.

Despite this, the duo has remained good friends and DDP has gone on to open his house to the likes of Jake Roberts and Scott Hall in recent years.

#5 Stacy Keibler And Torrie Wilson

Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler both made their way over to WWE after stints in WCW and were said to be close friends outside of the wrestling business, so it makes sense that the duo once lived together in Los Angeles.

It is reported that Torrie and Stacy became roommates back in 2005 when Stacy was on her way out of WWE and focusing on a career in entertainment. Torrie remained with the company for a number of years after this, before being released from WWE, which forced her to pursue a career in fitness.

Both women had a similar start to their careers, so it's understandable that they both became good friends, but their careers have taken very different turns in recent years. Despite this, they still remain two of the most memorable female wrestlers who never won a Women's Championship.

#4 Daniel Bryan And Shinsuke Nakamura

Bryan and Nakamura lived together in Los Angeles

Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan are both part of the SmackDown Live roster in WWE right now, but this isn't the first time that the duo has worked together.

It is reported that when Bryan and Nakamura were training at the L.A. Dojo they were also living together in Los Angeles. Nakamura didn't speak a word of English whilst he lived with Bryan, but it seems that Bryan was able to translate and speak Japanese well enough that he and Nakamura were able to become good friends.

Many of the WWE Universe have listed Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura as a fantasy match.

It won't be a match that will take place in WWE following Bryan's retirement back in 2016. But it seems that if Bryan wants to return to wrestling then he will be forced to do so for a different promotion, where this dream match may finally be able to happen.

#3 Xavier Woods And Tyler Breeze

Xavier Woods could claim right now that either Kofi Kingston or Big E are his best friends in the company, but it seems that his actual closest friend in WWE is Tyler Breeze. Back when Xavier and 'Prince Pretty' first signed for WWE the duo decided to live together alongside Viktor from The Ascension.

Xavier is a huge fan of video games so it seems that the duo bonded over their love of computer games and Breeze himself stated that it was thanks to Woods that he was able to make it as far as he has in WWE.

He and the former Tag Team Champion brainstormed ideas for a new character before he came up with Tyler Breeze and then filmed vignettes at their shared apartment.

#2 Dean Ambrose and Big Cass

In the latest episode of WWE Ride Along, the three former members of The Shield talked about their early careers with the company. Dean Ambrose himself confessed that he was forced to rent a room that he found on Craigslist when he first signed with FCW because he had an eviction on his record, which meant that he couldn't get an actual apartment.

Dean was stuck in this room for a number of months paying $100 a week to a landlord before Big Cass offered Dean a much better place to stay.

Ambrose and Cass lived together throughout their time in FCW and "The Lunatic Fringe" didn't move out until 2014 when he was already part of WWE's main roster. Big Cass himself stated that his time living with Ambrose was "the best of his life" and that he found this time in his career both educational and fun.

#1 Edge and Christian

Edge and Christian were good friends both on and off screen

One of the greatest tag teams of all time consisted of former WWE Champion, Edge, and former ECW Champion, Christian. Whilst it was well-known that the duo were good friends outside of WWE throughout their career, it wasn't well-known that they were roommates.

The duo attended high school together and then went to the same college where they became roommates for the first time. It was following this that their in-ring training began and the duo first began teaming together on the Independent scene.

It seems that all those years of living together helped to bond the duo to the point where they knew each better than they knew themselves, which only made them a much more forbiddable tag team.
