10 WWE Superstars with the highest winning percentage

You can’t see me...in this list
You can’t see me...in this list

They say that wins and losses don’t matter in professional wrestling because it is a fake sport. But we cheer whenever our favourite superstar goes over the dreaded heel, don’t we? Profightdb.com has published a list of WWE superstars with the highest win percentage and you’ll be surprised to see that even the superstars accused of never taking the 3 count like John Cena and Roman Reigns don’t make the top 10. Neither do legends like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin or The Rock.

And the man who bags the top spot is definitely an unexpected name. Note that only superstars who wrestled a minimum of 25 matches for the company made the list.

10- Bad News Brown

Before there was Stone Cold Steve Austin, there was Bad News Brown

In 1988, Bad News Brown played the character of the bad-ass loner to perfection. One may remember him from his victory in the Battle Royal at Wrestlemania IV. He left the company on bad terms when Vince McMahon refused to make Brown the company’s first black champion.

But during his tenure, Bad News Brown scored a winning percentage of 82.17% across his 101 matches.

9- Kerry Von Erich

Despite a life of misfortune, Kerry Von Erich had a great winning percentage

There is no story more tragic than that of the Von Erichs. The Texas Tornado, Kerry Von Erich, lost his leg in a motorcycle incident, wrestled with a prosthetic leg, and committed suicide with a gunshot to the heart. But if there’s a silver lining to be found in this sad story, it is that during his run, he suffered few losses. In fact, through his long Intercontinental Championship reign and thereafter, Kerry Von Erich was only pinned a few times.

His winning percentage, after 70 matches was 82.85%. Rest in peace, Texas Tornado.

8- Lex Luger

The Lex Express ran over all his opponents

When Vince McMahon wanted a replacement for Hulkamania, he came up with the concept of the Lex Express. Lex Luger was good looking and had the physique that McMahon wants from a top star. As a result, Lex Luger won a large percentage of his matches. In his 102 matches for WWE, Luger scored a winning percentage of 83.33%.

Lex Luger thanked McMahon by jumping ship to WCW, subsequently appearing on the first ever WCW Monday Nitro, and starting the Monday Night Wars.

7- Tugboat/Typhoon

The two faces (and guts) of Fred Ottman

Whether you remember him as a lovable sailor named Tugboat, or one-half of the Natural Disasters – Typhoon, Fred Ottman is one of wrestling’s most memorable and enduring characters. Some may remember the massive push he got, both as a singles and a tag team wrestler in the early 90s.

As a result, he has a very impressive score of 84.21% victories over 114 matches. Now that’s a typhoon like none other.

6- Ludvig Borga

Yet another suicide victim

One of Vince McMahon’s favourite themes for storyline feuds has been that of the evil European who holds America in low regard (Hi Rusev). Ludvig Borga was the essential Finnish heel who was pushed to the top immediately, ending Tatanka’s undefeated streak.

The company had big plans for Borga, but he got injured in a match against Rick Steiner. After his retirement, Borga went into politics, courted controversy and shot himself at the age of 47. But through his 31 matches, Borga had an 87% win rate overall.

5- The Ultimate Warrior

The only name on the list which is not a surprise

The Ultimate Warrior is probably the only superstar in this list, whose name does not come as a complete shock. After all, he did pin Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI. Enduring a tough relationship with Vince McMahon, over his top spot on the roster, payment controversies, and steroid use, The Ultimate Warrior boasts an impressive career with 89.36% wins in his 141 clashes.

Long live the legend, Ultimate Warrior.

4- Tom Zenk

Not a name we expected to see at Number 4

Yes, you have Tom Zenk at Number 4. Who, you ask? Well, Tom Zenk was part of the Can-Am Connection with Rick Martel. A popular tag team, they were supposed to be the successors to the Hart Foundation, but their push ended when Zenk quit the company. He has a success rate of 90.32% in his 31 matches.

Definitely not a name we expected to see so high up.

3- Finn Balor

Yes, our very own Demon King

Not every name in this list is from the classic era as we also have the longest reigning NXT Champion and the first ever Universal Champion in this list. Finn Balor has a winning rate of 91.17% across his 34 matches so far. We can’t wait for him to return and make us even more proud.

2- Rick Steiner

Woof! Woof! Woof! It’s the dog faced gremlin.

Rick Steiner is primarily known as one of the top stars from WCW. But one tends to forget the amazing run he had in the WWE has well. Himself and Scott Steiner were 2-time World Tag Team Champions, as The Steiner Brothers. In his 57 matches for the company; Steiner has a victory percentage of 91.22. Today, Rick finds joy in real estate.

1- El Torito

No, this is not a joke

Yes, El Torito leads this list with a 91.7% success rate across his 73 matches. Goldberg has a record win % of 77.17 from his 30 WWE matches! Who says Vince only lets the bigger, muscular guys go over?
