2 alliances which could solve WWE Raw’s heel problem

WWE Monday Night Raw was short of top-level heels only about three months ago. However, the return of Drew McIntyre sparked a revolution, and he and Dolph Ziggler ran through the faces of the brand.

Kurt Angle’s forced vacation caused the promotion of Baron Corbin to the position of Acting General Manager of the brand, and the heel figure has elevated the other heels of the roster alongside himself.

Kevin Owens’ injury saw Bobby Lashley turning heel too, and he has slowly joined the heel alliance led by Corbin. This has led to the Raw roster getting filled with top-level heels.

On the other hand, with the departure of Roman Reigns and the eventual breakup of The Shield, Dean Ambrose turned heel as well, leaving only Seth Rollins standing tall as the main babyface of the brand.

Without an alliance of top faces on the red brand, we see the numbers game come into play more often than not when the heels attack continuously in packs.

Lets take a look at two alliances which can be formed in order to solve this problem, and even out the odds to make things more interesting on the brand.

#1 Seth Rollins and Finn Balor

These two men have the potential to rule Monday nights

Seth Rollins has been fighting his own demons and battles against his former Shield teammate, Dean Ambrose.

Seth is an A grade performer who has done whatever the WWE has asked of him, and has been rewarded generously by the company. He has even performed double duty on many nights, which has helped him reach the top.

Finn Balor on the other hand, is one of the best wrestlers. He was the initial Universal Champion on Raw, and has found himself slip a bit due to an injury which he received during his championship match against Seth.

They have fought side by side many times, and this could be the perfect time for them to join forces. Seth needs someone to watch his back while he defends his Intercontinental Championship, while Balor is in the bad books of Baron Corbin, and finds himself against the biggest heels in the business.

An alliance between them could do wonders for both, and help them increase their individual value while being the top two babyfaces of Raw. It is the need of the hour, as most of the heels on Raw are working in numbers.

#2 Braun Strowman and Lars Sullivan

These two men can wreck any opponent

What’s better than one monster? Two monsters!

Braun Strowman has been in battles against the biggest heels since he turned face once again. He has slowly taken the role which was Roman Reigns’ just a few months ago.

Now Strowman needs someone to help him overcome the odds, as a number of heels such as Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley are on his case. And these men are not just regular sized athletes, but super-athletes.

Lars Sullivan will be the newest addition to Raw sooner than later. With his introduction, the roster will be even more powerful, as some of the strongest men already exist on the line-up.

There can be no better way to introduce Lars into the main roster than take him straight up to an alliance with Strowman in order to make a dominant duo who can take down any threat.

If this becomes the case, then Raw will have the most powerful heel and face teams we’ve seen in a long time.
