2 best matches for Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35

Who will get Braun Strowman's hands at WM 35?
Who will get Braun Strowman's hands at WM 35?

Braun Strowman has been one of the most prominent superstars on the flagship show of WWE in the last few years. He had a career-defining feud with Roman Reigns for the majority of 2017, and this played a major role in establishing him as a crowd favourite, taking him into a main-eventer role on Monday Night Raw.

Braun Strowman has been on a pursuit of the Universal Championship for the better part of two years, and has failed to win the title at least once. He has faced both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns (the only two superstars to hold the Universal Championship since WrestleMania 33) for the championship, but couldn't emerge victorious.

He is again set to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. It does not seem like Braun will win the title at the upcoming event, as the current booking direction points towards a WrestleMania showdown between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins.

This slideshow is prepared by assuming Braun Strowman will be out of the Universal title picture. So here are 2 potential feuds Braun Strowman can be booked in, post-Royal Rumble, on the road to WrestleMania 35.

Honorable mentions - Lars Sullivan and The Undertaker. Undertaker vs Braun Strowman seems very unlikely at this point in time, but Lars Sullivan vs Braun Strowman does seem like a realistic possibility in the near future.

#2 Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley finally seems to have found his footing on Monday Night Raw after a dismal run in 2018. It looks like WWE ultimately realised his calibre, as Lashley has rightfully moved on from mediocre feuds with the likes of Elias, Finn Balor, and the awkward promo segments he was involved in last year.

Currently, he is embroiled in an intense rivalry with the most popular superstar on Raw, Seth Rollins.

The duo opened the first Monday Night Raw episode of 2019 with a fierce brawl, establishing a personal rivalry between the two superstars which looks set to carry on until after Royal Rumble.

Lashley's current feud looks like a warm-up of sorts for Seth Rollins before he embarks on a journey to challenge for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35.

Lashley is set to take part in the Royal Rumble match this month, but it does not look like he will win it, considering the recent booking trends. He will in all likelihood finish his ongoing feud with Rollins well before WrestleMania 35 commences, which leaves him with no opponent for a match at WrestleMania.

Considering that Lashley was also part of the team that dismantled Braun Strowman before the TLC PPV last year, both can instantly renew their rivalry, and then go on to face each other at the grandest stage of them all.

#1 Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre

A battle of equals
A battle of equals

The Scottish Psychopath seems to be destined to be one of the top superstars in 2019, and is expected to be featured in a marquee match-up at WrestleMania 35. Currently, he is among the strong favourites to win the Royal Rumble match.

But if WWE decides to not book Drew McIntyre as the Rumble winner, then there is a ready-made stellar feud available for him during the WrestleMania season, as he has a history with Braun, and is one of the chief architects of the kayfabe attack on Strowman, which put him out of action.

Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman could renew their feud after Royal Rumble, and then fight against each other to determine superiority on Raw. Also, Drew McIntyre is one of the few superstars who can be seen as a viable threat to Braun Strowman.

This match would give both superstars a deserved prominent spot on the main card of WrestleMania, as they have been driving forces on Monday Night Raw for a while now.
