It has been twelve years since Roman Reigns made his WWE main roster debut as part of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Reigns has gone on to establish himself as arguably the biggest name in professional wrestling today.
For wrestlers, countless hours spent traveling on the road lead to many friendships. However, on the climb to the top, there are always a few individuals one doesn’t see eye to eye with. Roman Reigns is no exception to this.
Here are two current WWE Superstars Roman Reigns likes and three he probably doesn’t.

#5. Dislikes: Sheamus
In an interview a few years ago, Sheamus reflected on his rivalry with Roman Reigns in 2015. At the time, Sheamus was part of a heel faction called The League of Nations. He revealed that the faction was primarily created to help elevate Reigns as WWE's top babyface. However, The Celtic Warrior believed the group had the potential to become one of the top factions of that era if utilized differently but that did not happen.
Sheamus didn’t hold back from criticizing The OTC last year either. He pointed out that fans didn’t care much about the former Big Dog before Reigns took his sabbatical in 2020. The Irishman remarked that Roman benefitted from having the luxury of extended screen time during the pandemic. He noted that this often came at the expense of other segments on the show being cut short.
Rumors later surfaced suggesting that Reigns wasn’t happy with Sheamus’ comments.
#4. Likes: Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns have faced each other numerous times in the ring. Their rivalry was one of the key programs that solidified Strowman as an indestructible monster.
However, their relationship behind the scenes paints a very different picture. Reigns has mentioned that he and Strowman had become close friends while working and traveling together during their feud. Similarly, Strowman has often spoken highly of Reigns, showing mutual respect between the two stars.
#3. Dislikes: CM Punk
In an interview a few years ago, Roman Reigns admitted that he didn’t get along with CM Punk during the latter's previous stint with WWE.
Reigns noted that he didn’t like The Second City Saint and went on to state that Punk was someone who made his job harder. Despite this, Reigns expressed that he was willing to work with Punk if it was what was best for business.
"I don't like the guy. I mean I don't know many people that do, but I'm willing to put business first and make really good content if that's the case. But yeah, he probably has to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right," he said. [8:38 - 9:21]
That scenario has now become a reality. The two are set to team up at Survivor Series this weekend. CM Punk will be teaming up with the OG Bloodline to take on the new Bloodline and Bronson Reed inside the WarGames structure.
#2. Likes: R-Truth
Roman Reigns, during an interview in the past, revealed that R-Truth is his best friend in WWE. He shared that their bond has grown strong over the years through their time traveling together on the road.
Reigns also credited Truth for always offering helpful advice and emphasized the deep connection the two share. He also praised the former 24/7 Champion as one of the greatest of all time. This highlights the immense respect he has for the veteran R-Truth.
#1. Dislikes: Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes versus Roman Reigns has become the defining rivalry in modern WWE. Many fans believe this feud has played a significant role in the Stamford-based company’s recent massive success.
Beyond their on-screen feud, there appears to be a genuine professional rivalry between the two in real life. Both stars are determined to be the WWE's top star. This probably prevents them from sharing a close friendship.
In an interview a few months ago, Rhodes mentioned that Reigns was noticeably absent backstage when he finished his story at WrestleMania 40. This has led to speculation that Reigns may not hold Rhodes in high regard, despite their undeniable in-ring chemistry.
