Remember the first season of the Mixed Match Challenge? Well, if you don't, let me remind you of the popularity team Rose Gold (Mandy and Goldust) had gained during that season. Unfortunately, the team was eliminated from the tournament after just 1 match, which led to the fans demanding a future storyline involving Mandy Rose and Goldust.

This feud gives the WWE Creative a perfect opportunity to bring Goldust back on TV, and aligning him with Mandy Rose would enthuse the fans as well. The WWE even has a valid reason to pair Mandy with Goldust against Naomi and Uso, and that is they had been eliminated by the same team a year ago, and so this had forced the Bizarre One to return so he avenges the defeat at MMC season 1.
Goldust is one of the key reasons behind the Golden Goddess character of Mandy Rose, and it would be great to see the two together in the ring once again.
