#1 Why Roman Reigns should retain: The potential for one reign of epic length

Instead of breaking up Roman Reigns' current Universal title reign into two different ones, WWE could opt to keep the belt on him for an epic amount of time. He is very much the face of the company and will remain so for years. Every WWE fan has seemingly come around on him, thanks to his current character.

The Tribal Chief is performing on such a high level, his title reign might never grow stale. He is constantly involved in top-tier programs against fresh and over babyfaces. Reigns is currently at over 210 days as Universal Champion, and it feels like he's barely getting started.

He will likely main event WrestleManias 38 and 39, with one of them possibly being against The Rock. So why not keep the belt on him for the entire time?

The company has booked a few year-long world title runs of their own recently, with Brock Lesnar going over 500 days with the Universal Championship. However, he wasn't around for much of it. Roman Reigns is on SmackDown every single week.

If he manages to stand strong in his current reign as Universal Champion through the two WrestleManias after this one, Reigns would cross 1000 days with the title. It would be unprecedented from WWE in the modern era, making this a chance to make history.

Roman Reigns is the only man who could be considered to fill such a role. Would you like to see his current title reign extend until 2022, if not beyond?
