2 Superstars who could turn heel and 1 who might turn face at Elimination Chamber 2019

Elimination Chamber could have a few shocks and surprises up its sleeve.
Elimination Chamber could have a few shocks and surprises up its sleeve.

We are just hours away from the second landmark on the road to WrestleMania 35, WWE Elimination Chamber.

Given its unique style of matches, it has made a special place in the hearts of WWE Universe and with the pay-per-view inching closer and closer with each passing minute, the Internet community just can't keep calm. Social media has been flooded with predictions and speculations for the event, with fans coming up with new stories and theories each hour.

The match card, though compact with just 6 matches, looks promising. Also, the recent turn of events (Kofi Kingston's inclusion in the WWE Championship match, reports of Bray Wyatt and KO making their surprise returns) has truly hyped the event.

To be honest with you, barring one or two matches, the event looks predictable for the most part of it (we all know who's gonna win the match between Ronda Rousey and Ruby Riott). Thus, WWE might decide to pull up a few swerves to not only add that element of surprise to the pay-per-view but also to lay down the foundation for a few potential matches for the following weeks.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at 2 superstars who could turn heel and 1 who might turn face at Elimination Chamber 2019.

#3 Heel: The Miz

The Miz and Shane McMahon are all set to defend their tag team gold against The Usos at Elimination Chamber. However, we might witness the host of 'Miz TV' turning on his partner, Shane McMahon.

The recent stint of Shane and The Miz as the tag champs has been underwhelming, also, the mere reason why WWE decided to tag them together was to eventually break them and lay down the foundation of a potential feud between the two.

Thus, with WrestleMania just around the corner, WWE might have The Miz turn on Shane to lay down the breadcrumbs for a potential match between the duo at the Show of Shows.

#2 Heel: Big E

After Mustafa Ali picked up an injury, WWE decided to replace him with Kofi Kingston in the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber. However, what seems to be the mere filing of a spot may turn out to be something more.

While a title run seems highly unlikely for Kofi, a huge singles push could be on the line for the high flyer. WWE could have him show heart and fight like a champ only for Big E to show up and cost him the match.

Well, to be honest with you, I feel New Day has become monotonous and underwhelming. Their jokes are not funny anymore and the gig seems to have become old. Thus, it might be the right time to break them and give a singles push to both Big E and Kofi Kingston.

While Big E is a talented performer and has excellent mic skills, Kofi is a proven performer, in fact, he stole the show in the gauntlet match on the last edition of SmackDown. Thus, a classic feud between the two would not be a bad idea.

#1 Face: Sami Zayn

It would be a blockbuster surprise

The vignettes of a potential return of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been airing on WWE TV since late 2018. As a matter of fact, WWE aired a vignette showing a possible return of Kevin Owens on the last edition of Raw.

However, amidst all this, WWE could pull off a real shocker if they decide to have Sami Zayn appear at Elimination Chamber.

On another note, Finn Balor will face Bobby Lashley with Lio Rush for the Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber, and given Sami picked up a shoulder injury during his feud with the Almighty Bobby Lashley, it is apt to have him return during this match to equal the odds.

It should be noted that during his feud with Lashley, Sami was portrayed as a heel, thus, WWE could have him return to aid a helpless Balor getting dominated and attacked by the duo of Lashley and Rush. This would not only lay down the breadcrumbs for a potential triple threat match at Mania (which could turn into 5-way if WWE adds EC3 and KO) but also establish Sami as a babyface.
