2 things WWE did right and 2 things WWE didn't do right on RAW ( 15 July 2019)

It was jaw-dropping
It was jaw-dropping

Extreme Rules was a great show and the stakes were high for RAW. The journey to SummerSlam began on the red brand this week as WWE produced an awesome episode. The show had some good matches and entertaining segments.

Bray Wyatt made his appearance on RAW when he attacked Finn Balor. While Seth Rollins didn't get a rematch for the Universal Championship, he became the next challenger of Brock Lesnar by winning the Ten-Man Battle Royal match. The 24/7 Title changed hands when R-Truth pinned Drake Maverick in a hotel room.

Drew McIntyre suffered a shocking loss against Cedric Alexander. Natalya became the next challenger of Becky Lynch. Moreover, the Club faced the Lucha House Party and a new rivalry was hinted at on Miz TV.

Here we discuss two things WWE did right and two things WWE didn't do right on RAW this week.

#2 Didn't do right: Natalya became the number one contender of Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch managed to retain the RAW Women's Championship at Extreme Rules. Since Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch had a long rivalry, they were expected to end the feud at Extreme Rules. A Fatal 4-Way Women's Match took place on RAW to decide the next challenger of the Man.

Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Natalya competed in the Fatal 4-Way match. The match was certainly impressive and Lynch was present at ringside. After beating three other women, Natalya earned the right face Becky Lynch at the biggest show of the summer.

While Natalya is a talented performer, the fans are not likely to be thrilled about the match at SummerSlam. Considering SummerSlam is the second biggest after pay-per-view after WrestleMania, Lynch needs a bigger challenger for the RAW Women's Championship. Since Sasha Banks has been absent for a long time, the Boss could have been an ideal opponent for Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.

#2 Did right: Bray Wyatt's appearance

Since the last episode of Firefly Fun House, Bray Wyatt has been teasing his appearance. The Firefly Fun House characters were present on RAW and SmackDown Live in the last couple of weeks and the fans have been eagerly waiting to see the new Bray Wyatt. The Fiend showed up on RAW and he attacked Finn Balor.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it was the best moment of RAW this week. When Balor's music was interrupted, the arena got dark. Bray Wyatt delivered a vicious Sister Abigail to Finn Balor and he sent a strong message to the former Universal Champion. Bray Wyatt's return was perfectly executed and the fans will be waiting to see more next week.

#1Didn't do right: Mike Kanellis' loss to Zack Ryder

Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis showed up on RAW two weeks ago when they challenged Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in a Mixed Tag Team Match. While it was an easy victory for Rollins and Lynch, Mike Kanellis was humiliated in his RAW debut. Following the match, Maria embarrassed her husband with some harsh words.

The storyline continued on RAW this week as Mike Kanellis faced Zack Ryder. As a matter of fact, Maria insulted Mike and she wanted to face Ryder instead of her husband. When Mike entered the squared circle to face Ryder, the former lost the match within a few seconds. The storyline is absurd and Mike's character is getting disparaged every week.

#1 Did right: The Ten-Man Battle Royal Match

We got a new Universal Champion at Extreme Rules when Brock Lesnar cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase. The Beast Incarnate ended an impressive title run of Seth Rollins, which lasted 97 days. Though Rollins lost the title to Lesnar, the former didn't get an automatic rematch.

Paul Heyman came up with a brilliant idea to decide the number one contender of Brock Lesnar. The top ten Superstars of RAW and SmackDown Live were put in a Battle Royal match and Seth Rollins was also part of the match. The main event was exciting and Rollins overcame all the odds to become the number one contender of Lesnar.

Rollins and Lesnar will tussle at SummerSlam. Though the Beastslayer did not get an automatic rematch of the Universal Title, it was an excellent way to tell the story. Rollins proved his mettle once again and we are set to witness a blockbuster bout at SummerSlam.
