WWE Superstar Io Shirai is one of the most entertaining female superstars on NXT. However, she fears going out to the ring without wearing hair extensions.
Last year, the 31-year-old participated in WWE’s first-ever no makeup photoshoot, alongside a few other WWE ladies. Following the photoshoot, the female superstars sat together for a candid conversation.
The Japanese wrestler revealed to her colleagues how she felt about going on TV without makeup and hair extensions.

"I'm so scared. Always extensions and makeup give me confidence, but without that, it's so hard to...," Io Shirai said.
The NXT Women's Tag Team Champion explained that she is always trying to look like a superstar. Shirai added that wearing her makeup and extensions also put her in fighting mode.
Shirai and her partner Zoey Stark captured the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles last July at the Great American Bash pay-per-view. They recently defended their titles against Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter on the September 7 episode of NXT. Shirai and Stark successfully retained their championships in the match.
