2019 Royal Rumble confirmed entrants

The 2019 Royal Rumble, which will be the first WWE PPV in 2019, which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona at the Chase Field stadium. One big match of the PPV will be Brock Lesnar defending his Universal title against Braun Strowman, after The Monster Among Men defeated Baron Corbin at TLC 2018.

But the main match or matches of the night will be the 30-man Royal Rumble match and 30-woman Royal Rumble match, with the winner of each of the competitions getting the opportunity to face either the Universal Champion or the WWE Champion in the men's match, or the RAW or SmackDown Women's Champion in the women's match, at WrestleMania 35.

The inaugural 30-woman Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2018, which saw past and present Superstars collide, saw Asuka win the battle royal, and she chose to face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34. Asuka lost at WrestleMania which ended her unbeaten streak.

The 30-man Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2018 was also won by another Japanese Superstar as Shinsuke Nakamura eliminated Roman Reigns to get the victory. Nakamura chose to face WWE Champion AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34, in what was a dream match between two special Superstars. Styles won at WrestleMania 34 and retained his title - a night which also saw Nakamura turn heel.

This year's Mixed Match Challenge had an additional incentive, with the winners of the competition getting an opportunity to come in at #30 - the last position in the Royal Rumble.
