Though AJ Styles is one of WWE's most talented Superstars, The Phenomenal One does have a history of disappointing dream matches. When Styles met Shinsuke Nakamura in 2018, what should have been an epic feud quickly turned sour. Thus, when he was set to face Seth Rollins, fans had serious doubts.

Styles and Rollins started slowly, building to something great. Each move they did mattered in the grand scheme of things as they struggled to gain control. Once they hit second gear, it reached a new level of intensity and never let up. Eventually, it would be Rollins who would get the win to retain his Championship, and though AJ had failed in his mission, nobody came out of this match looking like a loser.
