3 biggest things WWE made clear on RAW this week (29th July 2019)

RAW was a solid show.
RAW was a solid show.

It was the penultimate episode of the Raw before SummerSlam and the anticipation was pretty high. Following a great edition of RAW Reunion last week, the company certainly managed to continue the momentum. RAW produced an astounding episode with some imposing matches and segments.

The 24/7 Title changed hands as Maria Kanellis became the first pregnant champion. Apart from the 24/7 Title, the RAW Tag Team Championship also changed hands in a Triple Threat Match. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson won the belts by defeating The Usos and The Revival. While Alexa Bliss failed to continue her match against Becky Lynch, the latter beat Nikki Cross.

Ricochet won a Gauntlet Match to become the number one contender for the AJ Styles' US title. The match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins was interfered by Brock Lesnar, who subsequently mauled the Beastslayer in the ring. The Beast Incarnate continued the vicious assault in the backstage area that ended up being one of the biggest highlights of the show. The Samoan Summit segment was cancelled as a massive brawl closed out the show.

It was a great show overall and here, we discuss three things that WWE made clear on RAW this week.

#3. The OC will rule RAW

A surprising tag team match took place on Raw this week. The Revival defended the tag team titles in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against The Usos and Gallows & Anderson. Without a shadow of a doubt, it was a solid match and in the end, the straps changed hands, making Gallows and Anderson two-time RAW Tag Team Champions in the process.

Similar to the New Day, every OC member now holds a belt. While AJ Styles holds the United States Title, Gallows and Anderson are the new holders of the RAW Tag Team Titles. Following their association with the Phenomenal One, Gallows and Anderson are likely to get a significant push. The former NJPW standouts were neglected in the last couple of year, however, judging by the scenario this week, the OC will dominate the red brand soon.

#2. Roman Reigns will face Samoa Joe at SummerSlam

Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe were scheduled to have a Samoan Summit to clear out their differences, however, things turned ugly when they got involved in a brawl. When Seth Rollins was taken to the ambulance, Reigns and the Usos exchanged blows with Samoa Joe, Gallows and Anderson backstage.

Joe announced that the Samoan Summit was cancelled and the Big Dog wasted no time in attacking Joe. While the two men were tussling, Drew McIntyre, Cedric Alexandar, The Usos and Gallows & Anderson entered the fray to add to the chaos. It was a hectic segment but the babyfaces stood tall. Considering we are just two weeks away from the 'Biggest Party of the Summer', the company might go to forward with the feud.

Joe and Reigns are no strangers to each other as they have faced each other in the past. Joe is a spectacular heel and he certainly brings the best out of the Big Dog. It will not be surprising if WWE confirms the match for SummerSlam next week.

#1. The RAW Women's Championship match will be a Submission Match

Since Natalya became the number one contender for Becky Lynch, the rivalry has gradually become more intense. While the women brawled at RAW Reunion, the hostilities spilt over to this week's show as well. Alexa Bliss showed footage that Fit Finlay was teaching Natalya how to escape Lynch's submission move, the Dis-Arm-Her. However, The Man came out and attacked the Queen of Harts. Natalya promptly returned the favour on RAW.

Though Alexa Bliss pretended to be injured, the Goddess viciously attacked The Man after the latter pinned Nikki Cross. When Lynch was looking helpless, Natalya came out and put the RAW Women's Champion in a Sharpshooter.

Following the attack, Natalya challenged Becky Lynch for a Submission Match and Lynch should expectedly accept the challenge on RAW next week. Both women have deadly submission manoeuvres and it will be interesting to see whose move is superior.
