Is Dean Ambrose really leaving the WWE or is this an elaborate storyline?
Is Dean Ambrose really leaving the WWE or is this an elaborate storyline?

The news broke shortly after the post-Rumble episode of Monday Night RAW that Dean Ambrose had reportedly refused to sign a new contract with a WWE. According to the report, Ambrose had turned down a 5-year contract reportedly worth over a million Dollars a year. The reason stated was that Ambrose was unhappy with his position in the company especially with WWE creative.

However, what if all of this is an elaborate work and part of a storyline? Before I move on I must stress that this is just me looking at the possibilities and I'm not claiming that this is definitely a work.

#3 WWE commented on the situation this early

When was the last time WWE publically announced that one of their top stars would not be signing a new contract, that too 3 months before his contract came up.

WWE posted the following message on Instagram to "confirm" that Dean Ambrose chose not to renew his contract with the company:

"Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE”

One more thing fans have pointed out that in the WWE Chronicle episode featuring Dean Ambrose on the WWE Network, Dean Ambrose actually hinted at possibly leaving. During the episode Ambrose said:

“I’m just going to try and relax and enjoy this last trip around the world. I get the feeling that this could very well be the last time.”

What are the chances that Dean Ambrose saying he was leaving was a coincidence?

#2 He got the opening spot on WWE RAW

The first episode of RAW and SmackDown are two of the biggest of the year as they lay the groundwork for WrestleMania season. If WWE knew that Dean Ambrose was leaving during his multiple meetings on the day of the Royal Rumble, why would WWE then go ahead and features Ambrose in the opening segment of RAW?

Ambrose and Rollins' storyline was seemingly over when Lashley won the WWE Intercontinental Champion, so why did WWE then have Ambrose come out to interrupt Triple H and Seth Rollins? More on that in the next slide.

Apart from this, when Ambrose tried to cut a promo after losing to Rollins, he was quickly interrupted by Nia Jax and Tamina. That could either have been just the way the segment was written or it could have been WWE trying to get across to us that they cut Ambrose off.

#1 Could lead to a big WrestleMania match

Ambrose vs Triple H?
Ambrose vs Triple H?

Let's delve back into that opening segment of WWE RAW. Ambrose came out to interrupt Seth Rollins and Triple H as 'The Game' was in the process of putting Rollins over on the mic.

Ambrose called out his former brother saying that Triple H had never believed in him and that it was he, Ambrose, who had had Rollins' back over the years adding that 'The Game' had always gotten in their way. However, this was not the most important part of the segment. That came when Ambrose took a shot at Triple H, basically questioning if HHH could make a match without asking for Vince McMahon's permission first.

If you ask me, it looks like WWE could be setting up for a programme between Triple H and Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania, regardless of whether Ambrose stays or leaves. Interesting fact, Ambrose is the only member of The Shield that Triple H hasn't faced one on one at WrestleMania.
