In the last few months, WWE fans were very excited to witness WrestleMania 40. Many expected the PLE to set the benchmark for professional wrestling going forward, and the event did live up to those expectations. However, now that WrestleMania is over, all eyes are on the upcoming draft.
Beginning on tonight's episode of SmackDown, the WWE Draft is set to feature some massive names. Ahead of this event, the Stamford-based promotion uploaded a video on its YouTube channel in which superstars were asked for their predictions and other things related to the draft.
In this article, we will look at three draft predictions from superstars that can turn out true.
#3. Chelsea Green predicts the WWE draft will see NXT talent move to the main roster
In the video uploaded by WWE, Chelsea Green seemed to be full of herself. However, during the interaction, she made an interesting point. Green said the upcoming draft would see many women from NXT move to the main roster. The possibility of this happening is extremely high.
As of today, the developmental brand is home to incredible talents like Roxanne Perez and Fallon Henley. Hence, it won't be surprising to see female superstars from NXT move to the main roster. Apart from women, there are several male superstars from NXT who could make their move to the main roster.
#2. Bronson Reed showing interest in moving to SmackDown
The 2024 Andre the Giant Battle Royal winner Bronson Reed expressed his interest in moving to SmackDown in the video above. While Reed mentioned he would like to stay on RAW, he further added that his move to SmackDown would be something special.
Whether Reed might be contemplating a move to the blue brand or not, there is a high possibility he could move to SmackDown. Given Sami Zayn just won the Intercontinental Championship, Reed might not have a chance to win a title on RAW. However, he could always challenge for the United States Championship on SmackDown.
#1. Jey Uso predicts Roman Reigns will be the No. 1 draft pick
Despite losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns remains one of the biggest superstars WWE has produced. After all, what Reigns achieved in his career as the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is nothing short of historic. Hence, it would be obvious that GMs would want to have him on their brand.
So, Jey Uso isn't wrong in saying that The Tribal Chief would be the No. 1 pick in the draft. However, it will be worth observing whether Reigns stays on SmackDown or moves to RAW and pursues a completely new path on the red brand.
