A man who has been the face of WWE for more than a decade and arguably is still the best wrestler the company has got - surely needs some rituals to keep him going. The 16-time world champion, John Cena, was asked about the rituals he performs before going inside the ring. Cena elaborated a number of practices such as drinking water from other’s bottles, to eating tic-tac and talking to himself.

But the most valid ritual he follows devotedly is knocking the wood before going inside the ring to perform. Knocking on wood is not so unusual for luck. Cena does it before every match, including hitting the turnbuckle to knock on wood after getting in the ring. If you look carefully, Cena’s first move inside the ring is hitting the turnbuckle before he shows off his trademark signature moves.
