3 Fantastic botches and mistakes you missed this week on Raw (July 23rd, 2019)

Even The Raw Reunion wasn't free of botches this week
Even The Raw Reunion wasn't free of botches this week

WWE brought back 38 legends to be part of the Raw Reunion show in Tampa, Florida and of course, when there are a number of stars who are not accustomed to live TV, there are going to be a few mistakes.

The Raw Reunion will be seen as a huge success, but throughout the show, there were a number of botches even though many of the legends were spotted backstage in segments while others were running around the arena exchanging the WWE 24/7 Championship.

The women were even able to get involved in the race for the title with Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, and even Alundra Blayze picking up the Championship in an exciting back and forth throughout the night.

The thrown-together format for the show meant that there was more room for error throughout the night and here are just some of the botches that happened as part of WWE's Raw Reunions Show last night.

#3. "24 Champion"

WWE made the shocking decision to allow Alundra Blayze to pick up a Championship in WWE, especially after the last title she won was placed rather unceremoniously into a trash can over on WCW.

Blayze was then forced to cut a promo following her victory after she made Candice Michelle tap and Melina made the call to say she was the new Champion and it was horrific. Blayze referred to the title as the "24 Championship" before stating that she wouldn't be Champion for long.

Renee Young on commentary went on to call Blayze up on it since it was apparent that she tripped over her lines, but this could be seen as another reason why some of these backstage segments with WWE legends should be pre-recorded. Blayze later attempted to put the title in the trash, before "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase stepped in and brought the Championship from her.

#2. Welcome back Lilian Garcia

Lilian Garcia hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since last year's Evolution, but she was another one of the legends who was invited back as part of last night's Raw Reunion. Garcia announced the tag team match between The Viking Raiders and Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder which was seemingly going smoothly until the victory.

Lilian's mic wasn't on to being with which meant that she started her announcement partway through, and then when The Viking Raiders picked up the victory, she wasn't there to announce their win. Corey Graves was on commentary, and he stated that Lilian had forgotten the names of The Viking Raiders which is why there was no victory announcement, but the actual reason why Lilian wasn't there to finish her job at the end of the match is actually unknown.

#1. Ted DiBiase doesn't have money anymore

The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase returned to Monday Night Raw as part of last night's Raw Reunion episode, but it appears that the years have not been kind to the former Million Dollar Champion.

DiBiase's only real role as part of the show was to come out and pay Alundra Blayze to give him the 24/7 Championship so that he didn't have to wrestle for it and to prevent her from putting it into a trash can. The only issue was when DiBiase took the money out of his jacket pocket and handed it over to the former Women's Champion; it was evident that it wasn't real money.

As seen from the video below, DiBiase handed over some blank sheets of paper to Blayze, who didn't realise that she had only been paid a couple of dollars for a title.
