Royal Rumble is the first PPV of the year, and it always brings excitement. As a matter of fact, it is one of WWE's big four PPVs. The other three mega PPVs are WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. This year's Rumble will be held at Chase Field in Pheonix, Arizona.

The inaugural PPV made its way in 1988, and it has a long history. The battle royale match is the main attraction of the event where the participants eliminate each other from the ring. The last surviving participant becomes the winner and gets an opportunity to headline WrestleMania.

WWE introduced the women's Royal Rumble match last year and Asuka won the maiden match. Hence, two Rumble matches will be held again this year. Several title matches are confirmed as well. The WWE championship will be on the line, as Daniel Bryan will defend his title against AJ Styles.

Brock Lesnar will defend the Universal Champion against Finn Balor. Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey will collide with Sasha Banks. Also, Smackdown Women's Champion Asuka will face Becky Lynch and US Champion Rusev will lock horns with Nakamura and Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will defend his in fatal-4 way match.

The road to WrestleMania begins at the Royal Rumble. Currently, there are several exciting rivalries with a good storyline. Some of the feuds might continue to Wrestlemania 35. Here we discuss three current feuds that might continue after Royal Rumble.

#3 Dean Ambrose vs Bobby Lashley

Dean Ambrose won the Intercontinental title at TLC last year when he defeated Seth Rollins. In fact, Ambrose and Rollins had a remarkable rivalry after Ambrose turned heel last year. While Lashley was involved in several small feuds but he did not have any noteworthy rivalry. Hence, Lashley and Ambrose could have an exciting feud after Lashley clinched the Intercontinental title in a triple threat match.

Lashley made his WWE return last year, and he returned after ten years. He defeated Roman Reigns, but his run has been substandard. Lashley has been involved in numerous small feuds, but he needs a strong feud to make an impact.

He was expected to get a significant push after his achievement in MMA and TNA. However, a strong rivalry with Ambrose could lift his stature, and he is expected to stay Intercontinental Champion for a long time. Lashley is a heel, but Ambrose is also a heel. As a result, one of the two superstars could turn face after Royal Rumble. The feud could continue till WrestleMania 35.

#2 Ronda Rousey vs Sasha Banks

Ronda Rousey is set to defend the Raw Women's title against Sasha Banks at Royal Rumble. They are capable of stealing the show at the PPV, but the rivalry has a bright possibility to continue after the Rumble.

Ronda Rousey has been undefeated in WWE, and she might keep the winning streak at Chase Field. Sasha Banks had a poor run in 2018, and she was not in the title picture. The 4-time Raw Women's Champion was also excluded from some PPVs last year.

But Banks could have a fruitful year as she is already challenging the Raw Women's Champion at Chase Field. Banks might not become the first woman to pin Rousey, but she might a get a good push after their rivalry.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet has been unstoppable, and she is likely to stay unbeaten till WrestleMania 35. Moreover, this is a fresh feud for the WWE Universe. This rivalry might continue till Fastlane and Ronda might get a new opponent at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

#1 Drew McIntyre vs John Cena

McIntyre and Cena will participate in the Royal Rumble match, and they might continue their rivalry after the battle royale match at Chase Field. Cena returned on the first Raw of this year when McIntyre interrupted him. They had an intense segment, and McIntyre threatened to destroy John Cena. In fact, he also bragged about destroying The Shield, Dolph Ziggler, and Kurt Angle.

Subsequently, the two superstars also locked horns on Raw when they competed in a fatal-4 way match. Finn Balor, John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Balor fought to become the challenger of Brock Lesnar. Balor won the match, and he is set to face Lesnar at Chase Field.

McIntyre might eliminate Cena from the Royal Rumble match, and they could extend the rivalry. The Scottish Psychopath is impressive on the mic, and he can go toe to toe with Cena.

They could continue the rivalry till WrestleMania and McIntyre is a credible opponent for Cena at the Grandest Stage of Them All. McIntyre could get a big boost in his career if he manages to pin Cena at Wrestlemania 35.
