3 Hilarious 24/7 Title segments we can see at WWE Super ShowDown
The 24/7 Championship scene has been picking up pace in the last few days. After R-Truth hilariously pinned Elias below the ring to win back the Championship at SmackDown, we witnessed Jinder Mahal play his dirty tricks and pin Truth on the airport tarmac to become a 2-time 24/7 Champion.
Few hours after that, we saw Truth pin a sleeping Jinder inside the plane to win back his "European 24/7 TV" Championship. As of now, three championships are scheduled to be defended at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia including the Universal, WWE, and Intercontinental title. But with the 24/7 Champ heading to the mega event with his belt as well, one can never count out the possibility of a lot of drama involving the newly introduced title.
In this article, let's take a look at the 3 Hilarious 24/7 Title segments that we can see at WWE Super ShowDown. Let me know in the comments section which one of these would be your favorite?
#3 The title changes hand inside the 50-Man Battle Royal
The rules of a Battle Royal are to throw your opponents over the top rope to eliminate them from the match. There is no pinfall or submission in this match type. For the same reason, there are no referees inside the ring, but they are present on the outside surrounding it.
The 50-Man Battle Royal announced for the show will be the biggest Battle Royal in the history of the company. With so many wrestlers required for the match, there is a chance that the 24/7 Champion R-Truth is also made to compete in it. If he does enter it, it would be an opportunity for WWE to do something that has never happened before. A superstar getting pinned inside a Battle Royal!
Imagine the scenario of many wrestlers going after Truth to win the 24/7 Title inside the Battle Royal. Someone like Jinder or Mojo could win it only to be pinned again by Truth to regain the belt. Truth can then take it to another level and eliminate himself from the match by jumping over the top rope and running straight to the back.
Though it would take away from the actual point of the match, if WWE were really serious with it, to begin with, we would have seen some actual build-up for the match. With nothing at stake in the Battle Royal, the 24/7 title might at least make the match interesting.
