Paul Heyman made a shocking return during the latest episode of SmackDown. This was his first appearance since being put through the announce table by the new Bloodline a few months ago.
In the weeks leading up to Survivor Series, Roman Reigns had been attempting to contact The Wiseman for counsel, as the OG Bloodline had struggled to find a fifth member for their WarGames team. However, his efforts were unsuccessful. It seemed that Heyman’s phone number was out of service.
Despite this, Heyman made a dramatic return on SmackDown last week, and he wasn’t alone. He introduced the fifth member of the OG Bloodline’s Survivor Series team, that being none other than his close friend, CM Punk.
Here are three indications that CM Punk has officially become a Paul Heyman Guy once again.

#3. WWE's new merchandise
After CM Punk joined the OG Bloodline's team on SmackDown last week, WWE released new merchandise on their website.
This includes two T-shirts: one featuring a picture of CM Punk and Paul Heyman from their 2012-2013 partnership during Punk's historic 434-day WWE Championship reign. The other featured Roman Reigns and Heyman, highlighting Heyman's pivotal role during Reigns' 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Fans have since noticed an intriguing detail about this new merchandise. Punk's T-shirt features the phrase "The Wiseman" printed beneath Heyman's picture, while Reigns' T-shirt does not. This subtle difference has led to speculation that WWE might be hinting at Paul Heyman officially aligning himself with CM Punk once again.
#2. CM Punk's interaction with Roman Reigns on SmackDown
Roman Reigns was visibly shocked when Paul Heyman made his unexpected return on SmackDown. He appeared even more perplexed when Heyman introduced CM Punk as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's team for WarGames. It seemed clear that Reigns and the OG Bloodline had no prior knowledge of Heyman’s actions.
After Reigns and Punk cleared the ring by taking out the new Bloodline, the two shared a tense staredown. During this, The Second City Saint told Reigns that this wasn’t about either of them but about Paul Heyman. Reigns firmly responded that Heyman was his Wiseman, to which Punk smirked and replied, “We’ll see.”
This exchange hints that Heyman may have approached Punk for help behind Reigns' back, possibly signaling a renewed alliance between Heyman and Punk.
#1. Paul Heyman's plea for help
Long before Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam earlier this year, Paul Heyman was already dealing with the challenges posed by the new Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa. Heyman struggled to manage the group, as Solo frequently undermined and overruled his advice.
Tensions reached a boiling point when Heyman refused to acknowledge Solo as his Tribal Chief, leading to the new Bloodline brutally attacking him and putting him through the announce table. Prior to this incident, during an episode of SmackDown, CM Punk had an in-ring reunion with Heyman. In an emotional moment, Heyman made an emotional plea to Punk, saying, “Take me with you.”
Now, with Heyman introducing CM Punk as the man to help take down the new Bloodline, all signs point to Punk once again becoming a Paul Heyman Guy.
