A few interesting observations from this week
A few interesting observations from this week's edition of Monday Night RAW (September 30)

This week's edition of Monday Night RAW saw a lot of contrasting moments. From Brock Lesnar annihilating Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominick, to Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair appearing on Miz TV for a major announcement, last night's episode had it all.

The season premiere featured a lot of new developments, including a new set and the re-introduction of pyrotechnics on the red brand. The episode itself was entertaining, to say the least, but it did have some issues during various instances.

Nevertheless, it is safe to say that the current product has been consistently delivering on most fronts over the past few weeks.

Let us take a look at some interesting observations from this week's episode of Monday Night RAW:

#3 'Team Hogan vs. Team Flair' is an entertaining way to shed light on some underutilized Superstars

Frankly speaking, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan might have had an intense feud back in the day.

But as much as Saudi Arabian WWE shows tend to rely on nostalgia, Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair in 2019 would be bonkers for all the bad reasons.

Therefore, WWE came up with an idea of showcasing both of these legends as coaches of their respective teams (Team Hogan/Team Flair), which works well since you can attract a lot of attention without actually having the two of them go at it in a legitimate singles match in 2019.

This also gives a reason for both of these legends to become a part of weekly programming for the time being.

On top of that, WWE could push some underutilized talents as members of both teams. For example, Rusev just had a surprising arc on WWE TV after so many days, with 'Team Hogan vs. Team Flair' being the primary context in this case.

Undoubtedly, this could be a great opportunity for WWE to integrate the past and the present while staying relevant to today's programming as well.
