#1: WWE has managed to push King Corbin and Roman Reigns' storyline past its expiration date in a strange way

WWE's obsession with Roman Reigns' Big Dog moniker resulted in a very strange ending to this week's SmackDown.

As the episode was ending, King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler tied Reigns to the ring post after the main event, and surprisingly, they went as far as to humiliate the former Shield man by covering him in dog food.

On paper, this sounds like a terrible idea.

But it worked well to some extent in the end.

Throughout this year, Reigns has been a part of several feuds tending to exist past their expiration date. His feud with Corbin lies in the same category as well.

But with the 'dog food' ploy, SmackDown's creative team has added a little steam to their rivalry, at least up until TLC.

Last night's angle earned Reigns a lot of sympathy in the eyes of WWE fans.

On top of that, Corbin's unlikeability always results in great matches whenever he is paired against The Big Dog.

Now, Reigns and Corbin have a good reason to go at it, yet again, during the last leg of this year.

Maybe their contest at TLC could also have an added stipulation, which would be a great catalyst for a grand finale between Roman Reigns and King Corbin.
