Here are a few interesting observations from WWE SummerSlam 2019

Without any doubt, the recently concluded SummerSlam Pay-Per-View was an enormous success in terms of both creative booking and online buzz.

WWE stepped up their game for the "biggest party of the summer", and not only was the event entertaining from start-to-finish, but the show also left us with intriguing takeaways heading into Monday Night RAW.

Minor nitpicks aside, the WWE Universe felt a collective sense of enthrallment throughout the night, and let us hope that WWE capitalizes on this momentum for the upcoming weeks as well.

Here are a few interesting observations from WWE SummerSlam 2019:

#3: Why Bray Wyatt just successfully re-introduced the essence of supernatural in WWE

You know that a match/segment has made a successful impact when people chant "That Was Awesome" moments after it has ended.

The production crew deserve a special shout-out for making Bray Wyatt's re-debut look as polished as possible. It was not long ago that people passed it off as a joke whenever Bray Wyatt was compared to The Undertaker in terms of character finesse, but that remains in the past.

With The Fiend, Bray Wyatt has successfully re-introduced the essence of supernatural gimmicks in WWE. In 2019, it is almost impossible to take characters of such nature seriously. This is simply because we now live in an era where kayfabe constantly blends in with reality.

But somehow, Wyatt's creatively insane idea has done the impossible by translating the ominous Firefly Fun House skits into in-ring action on live television.

The sheer idea of introducing a character of such magnitude has made it clear that The Fiend deserves a 'special attraction' status within the company. With that being said, who do you think will be The Fiend's next target?

#2: It was a night where legends stole the show (and the pre-show!)

From Bill Goldberg's triumphant in-ring return to Trish Stratus' inspiring farewell match, SummerSlam 2019 relied on part-timers and legends in a good way.

After a disastrous matchup against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia, Goldberg picked up his momentum in a sweep against Dolph Ziggler last night. The latter also did a great job in putting Goldberg over in the best way possible.

When it strictly comes to matches though, I felt that Trish Stratus did an excellent job while wrestling against Charlotte Flair on the same night. A series of highly-entertaining sequences lead to the most realistic outcome, where Charlotte, being the ultra-athlete of the women's division, made Stratus tap out.

Trish Stratus pulled herself to her feet to a massive ovation from her hometown faithful, after all, we did witness a one-of-a-kind farewell match in the end.

Legends didn't just take over the main card, as Edge returned and speared Elias during the SummerSlam Kickoff Show!

#1: Why Seth Rollins' Universal Title win is meant to undo his previous reign

In a way, Seth Rollins just hit the restart button when it comes to his reign as the new WWE Universal Champion.

The Beast Slayer had lost a ton of momentum during the months following this year's WrestleMania event, primarily due to poor booking decisions.

Brock Lesnar's successful MITB cash-in essentially marked the beginning of Seth Rollins' redemption against The Beast Incarnate. Last night, Rollins defeated Lesnar in a rare clean victory, which indicates that he is ready to face fresh opponents following SummerSlam 2019.

This time around, we might witness a better reign on Seth Rollins' part, that is, if the crew learnt anything from past mistakes.

With Brock Lesnar and Baron Corbin (probably) out of the picture for the time being, what lies ahead for the new Universal Champion in the next few weeks?
