The rivalry by 2009 had already resulted in numerous title changes, with each fight being at a higher stake than the previous one. To settle the score once and for all, WWE decided to book a Bragging Rights ‘Anything Goes Iron Man Match’. The winner would take it all. Cena and Orton both started off with swift strokes, keeping the crowd invested, and maintaining an even pace throughout the match.
The duo tested each other with blunt objects and punished each other with submission moves. Orton even used the pyrotechnics at the entrance to his advantage. With the bout count tied at five fails for both superstars, Cena managed to apply the STF on The Viper with his last breath and strength. Orton tapped out, and that ended a magnificent encounter.
