Will Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens be part of the WWE come next week?

On the recent edition of Smackdown Live, we saw a very interesting development in a highly intriguing storyline, the one between the team of Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura against the team of Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. This has been a back-burner like build up but a very intriguing one for the WWE Universe.

It could potentially mean that WWE Universe's favourite bearded hero, Daniel Bryan, might not just turn heel but even lead a new faction. We look at three possible heel turns in the same storyline.

Heel Turn #1: Shane McMahon

Could we see a heel turn for the time since his comeback?

The relationship between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon has been a formidable one on Smackdown Live television since the brand split. Compared to Raw, where we usually have Stephanie McMahon disagree with the General Manager in power, programming on Smackdown Live has been very contrasting.

We have seen Shane and Bryan agree on most things, but the build up to this year's Survivor Series changed all that. Shane's character has started to put on some egoistic bulk. From naming himself as the Smackdown Live's team captain at Survivor Series to punishing Zayn and Owens more than a reasonable face would.

All this combined with not taking Daniel Bryan in confidence, could point to Shane possibly turning heel at Clash of Champions. He could very well take out his partner Daniel Bryan to surprise the WWE Universe.

Heel Turn #2: Randy Orton

Could we see the darker side of Viper again?

With a star-studded tag match and two guest referees, there seems to be something interesting on the horizon. We could see the match end in a number of ways.

With their jobs on the line, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are unlikely to lose. Smackdown Live's roster is already thin, and firing the duo would make things worse for the brand's future programming. So, that leaves WWE with two options: a disqualification to end the match or have a heel turn take place.

A win for the Canadian stars seems more likely than anything else. With Randy Orton's face run turning stale, we could be in for a surprise too. Orton could possibly RKO Nakamura and set up a mouth-watering clash for Royal Rumble in January 2018.

WWE could be wiser and have the next Superstar turn heel to help Kevin and Zayn win the match and create an unstoppable heel faction.

Heel Turn #3: Daniel Bryan

Could we see the goat fly as a heel?

Since Shane went behind Bryan's back to take Raw 'Under Siege', their relationship has suffered a little. Although they seem to show that they have other's backs, there seems to be conflicting display in their behaviour and even mistrust at times.

The most recent example of that was seen this week on Smackdown Live when Bryan inserted himself as the second guest referee for this weekend's Clash of Champions non-title tag match.

This baffling decision from Smackdown Live's General Manager is sure to make heads turn, especially when he has played a face for years now. With Bryan wary of Shane's obvious bias in the match, things might take an interesting turn.

There have been multiple reports of doctors clearing Bryan to return to in-ring work, while Bryan's wife, Brie Bella highlighted the same in a social media interview. Bryan hasn't shied away from the same and has teased an in-ring return. All this could well mean that we might see him in action in a WWE ring soon again.

What's in store?

It might actually be Vince's call which decides Bryan's future with WWE

With WWE management known for volatile decisions, we could either see any of these heel turns transpire or none of them or even better, we could possibly see Bryan and Orton both turn heel.

With WWE's viewership taking a dip, we might get to see the WWE doctors' view on Bryan's concussion prognosis change. Bryan turning heel and leading a faction could breathe fresh life into Smackdown Live's programming until Mania.

This could lead to WWE viewership soaring up as well. It will be a win-win situation for both fans and the wrestling company.
