3 potential feuds for WOKEN Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy

"Woken" Matt Hardy has arrived in the WWE at the hands of the Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt. Following a mental breakdown after a match against Wyatt, Hardy sat in the corner of the ring clutching his side, looking flustered. As Hardy sat there, he began to do his "delete" gesture as a portion of the crowd chanted along with it. The WWE Universe knew that a war was coming.

In the coming days, Hardy sent out a number of cryptic tweets, stating that his "CONDEESION" had been "WOKEN" and that there would be a "Great War" to be fought. He thanked Wyatt for awakening him and reigniting his "Woken Wisdom."

Hardy continued his set of tweets up until last Monday's Raw, where he interrupted Wyatt's promo, cackling and reverting back to his crimson robe and frayed hair. Many have wanted to see Broken (now WOKEN) Matt Hardy face off against Bray Wyatt, whether doing battle at the Wyatt compound or House Hardy.

Dream matches have been thought up now that the Hardys are in WWE, such as the Broken (WOKEN) Hardyz and the Wyatt Family (now Wyatt and the Bludgeon Brothers, Harper and Rowan) do battle in a Final Deletion-esque brawl.

Who else would be a good fit to feud against the Woken Warrior? Whether in singles competition or teaming with Brother Nero, here are some of the DELIGHTFUL matchups we could see Woken Matt face off against in the future.

The Woken Hardys vs. The Revival

We never really got to unpack the rivalry that could have been between the "Top Guys" in Dawson and Wilder against the Hardys due to injury, but this could make for a potential Wrestlemania 34 spectacle.

With Brother Nero's timeframe for return being around Spring 2018, and Scott Dawson expecting to return from injury in a few weeks, the seeds for a Wrestlemania showdown could be planted as soon as the Royal Rumble in January.

Perhaps the duo could cost Woken Matt his eventual match against Bray Wyatt, further fueling the flames of his CONDEESION on the Road to Wrestlemania. With the bruisers that The Revival are, they could beat down Matt and have him realize he needs more than just his brother Jeff to help him out. He needs Brother Nero.

This could lead to a WONDAFUL return for Jeff, further advancing the Woken storyline into the entire Hardy family and making for a spectacle of a Wrestlemania undercard showdown.

Woken Matt Hardy vs. Roman Reigns

Now, the next couple of options are more or less based off of wishful thinking, but imagine a post-Wrestlemania showdown between the new Universal champion Roman Reigns and Woken Matt.

He could win a #1 contender's match on Raw the night after Mania, or simply interrupt The Big Dog down the line and claim that Reigns' yard is nothing more than another battleground in the Great War.

Matt does not have to win this feud either, since Reigns is seen to be the champion for the forseeable future. This feud could make for an interesting matchup that we may never see again, with the potential of a showdown between the powerhouse Reigns and the magic and spontaneity of Hardy.

Woken Matt Hardy vs. The Undertaker

I know The Undertaker has most likely wrestled his final match at Wrestlemania 33, and that we should take what Jerry Lawler said about a potential Deadman return with a grain of salt, but imagine how entertaining this feud would be.

The Woken vs. The Undead, the potential mindgames that could take place in the buildup to the match, or even the involvement of House Hardy or an Apocalypto-style match.

This would be a fun and awesome dream match involving the old guard of the bizarre and surreal gimmicks of WWE with the fusion of broken brilliance and the unhinged and unexplainable wildcard, Woken Matt Hardy.
