#2 Loss in Viewership
Everyone is aware that Mr. Ambrose was about to make his return, but the bigger question was when? When it happened on Raw, the fans are now aware of what will happen, and with that, a lot of viewers also know how this return would pan out, so a lot of fans might not even tune to the show.
If there would be a surprise, it would be good, because fans wouldn't be sure of what to expect and that would make for some compelling television.
A quick return cost WWE but did Vince see it coming.
