The King of the Ring tournament has propelled the career of the likes of Booker T and Kurt Angle to unprecedented heights. Guys like Angle and Booker were loathsome heels of their respective generations.
Corbin has established himself as one of the top heels on the main roster and winning the King of the Ring tournament might just make him the most hated star on the main roster. You can quite audibly hear the reaction of the WWE Universe every time Corbin calls himself 'King' or sits on the throne. Although it might not necessarily be good to be despised by everyone, it is something that a villain should be able to do and Corbin would be able to draw immense hatred if he wears the crown.
