The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, made a surprising return to RAW this week and saved Seth Rollins from a beatdown at the hands of AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson.

Before the shenanigans, Seth Rollins faced Styles in a Champion vs Champion match which was won by the Universal Champion via disqualification.

Strowman saved the day for Rollins, however, AJ Styles was very bitter about The Monster's interference. Hence, he issued him a challenge to battle for the United States Championship next week on RAW. Although Strowman has not accepted the challenge yet, expect him to do so on the next RAW episode.

Braun Strowman has never won a singles championship in WWE, but here's why he should win the United States Championship next week on RAW.

#3 Allows AJ Styles to focus on Universal Championship

The fans want to see this match again!

WWE seemingly made one thing clear on RAW this week, and that is AJ Styles may reignite his rivalry with Seth Rollins for the Universal title. With Brock Lesnar not expected to show up at Clash of Champions, the fans are expecting a new superstar to rise and battle Rollins for the title.

In this scenario, AJ Styles may be the perfect option for Rollins because he has become the top heel of RAW in the last month. His reunion with Gallows and Anderson has established the O.C. as the top heel faction. This trio can have a magnificent rivalry with Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship.

Also, Styles and Rollins had pulled off a Match Of The Year performance when they met at Money In The Bank 2019. So, it should not surprise many that WWE is willing to book this bout once again.

The only problem here is the status of AJ Styles as United States Champion. While the fans would love to see a 'Winner Take All' match at Clash of Champions, a match of this type would not do justice to the mid-card superstars of RAW.

Hence, it would be a wise move if WWE allows AJ Styles to drop the US title to Strowman next week before setting his sights on the mega prize.

#2 Return of the United States Championship Open Challenge

Just imagine the matches we could get!

Since both mid-card champions are heels, it makes sense not to have them show up and put their titles on the line every week. However, to keep things fresh on TV, WWE needs to book regular title matches.

The return of the United States Championship Open Challenge can help the creative team in solving this issue.

If Braun Strowman wins the US title next week, he could certainly bring back this prestigious challenge, and then talented superstars like Andrade, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Cesaro, Bobby Lashley, Samoa Joe, and many more can try their luck versus The Monster.

There are many dream possibilities for the United States Championship with Strowman as the champion, hence, WWE should consider booking a title change next Monday night.

This move can help up the stakes of the regular singles matches that take place on WWE TV as well as generate shock value with a random title change.

#1 It is now or never for Strowman

It is no secret that Braun Strowman was once the most over superstar of the company, however, WWE decided against pushing him, and made him Brock Lesnar's bunny. Even when they booked him to win the RAW tag team championships at WrestleMania 34, Strowman's title reign lasted a mere 24 hours.

This shows that WWE Creative does not see Strowman as a serious player. However, the fans are still behind him for his unique charisma and wrestling style. If WWE wants to build The Monster Among Men as a star, then they need to allow him to go over AJ Styles in the title match next week.

Despite being one of the most dominant superstars on the main roster, Braun Strowman has won zero singles titles. A mid-card title reign would be a great way to kick off Strowman's push before he capitalizes on the momentum and moves up the card.
