Even though Vince McMahon has been cheating Kofi Kingston for the past few weeks on Smackdown LIVE, a seasoned WWE fan can understand that Kofi Kingston will probably get his well-deserved championship match at WrestleMania 35.

Ever since replacing Mustafa Ali for the Elimination Chamber match, Kofi Kingston has been on fire. He began his hot run with a brilliant performance in the gauntlet match on the go-home episode of Elimination Chamber 2019.

Inside the Chamber, Kingston had the show of his life where he eliminated Randy Orton and just fell short of defeating Daniel Bryan. Kingston went as far as kicking out of a Running Knee - one of the most protected finishers in WWE.

WWE never planned the WWE Championship match to be a significant attraction for WrestleMania 35 and focused on the RAW Women's Championship and the Universal title match. However, Kofi's performance forced the WWE higher-ups to evaluate their decision.

Now, the WWE Championship feud has the potential to be the best rivalry in WrestleMania 35 and on this list, we will look at a few reasons why it is so.

#3 Kayfabe is alive

In 2019, WWE is more exposed than it ever was before. The babyfaces are getting booed out of the building whereas the heels are getting cheered. However, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, and Vince McMahon are playing the roles so well in this rivalry that the WWE Universe has a clear favorite in this feud.

The former ultimate babyface Daniel Bryan is now the most despised heel on WWE. Vince McMahon is still proving why he is the best heel in the business. The amount of love Kofi Kingston receiving from the fans is overwhelming.

The entire dynamic reflects Daniel Bryan's rise to the top on the road to WrestleMania 30. The ratio of likes to dislikes on the video above is a testimony to how much the fans are invested in the angle.

#2 Their match is guaranteed to be amazing

Even though the build-up to the Batista-Triple match has been brilliant, the match may not deliver

In their short encounter at Elimination Chamber, both Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan proved what they could do inside the ring. With some brilliant close finishes and some brutal back and forth exchange, Kingston and Bryan stole the whole show.

Both Kingston and Bryan are amazing performers in their rights. Kingston is an agile high flyer whereas Bryan is still one of the best technical wrestlers in the world. If their Elimination Chamber encounter is anything to go by, both of them can have a tremendous match with each other.

This is one parameter where the Bryan - Kofi storyline possess a considerable edge over other storylines - especially the rivalry between Triple H and Batista. Even though the build-up to the clash between the former Evolution mates has been fantastic, the quality of their match might disappoint the fans.

#1 The storyline is simple but powerful

As mentioned earlier, WWE's top priority for the 35th edition of WrestleMania was the Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins, and the triple threat RAW women's Championship match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch.

However, WWE has almost ruined both of the storylines. Without Brock Lesnar around WWE consistently, WWE has failed to build Rollins up as a credible threat for the Beast Incarnate.

Similarly, WWE has turned what should have been a simple feud between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch to a complicated, dragged-down affair by also adding Charlotte Flair and the authority.

However, the WWE Championship storyline is impactful but straightforward at the same time. Kofi Kingston has been working in WWE for the past 11 years but was never given a real opportunity. However, the management is still not ready to believe in Kingston - forcing the New Day member to overcome all odds to get to the Showcase of the Immortals.
