If the rumor mill is to be believed, Ross has been offered a generous contract worth millions of dollars. This rumor could actually be true, as AEW is being backed by a billionaire. Chris Jericho has stated recently that the offer AEW gave him was too good to pass up.

Given the status and popularity Jim Ross has enjoyed over the years as being one of the greatest announcers of all time, it shouldn't come as a surprise that AEW has, in fact, offered him a large sum of money.

Jim Ross wouldn't be able to earn this kind of money with WWE, as his appearances are rare, and he isn't working with them on a full-time basis. Jim Ross' decision to accept this fat contract could set him up for life, and he certainly wouldn't be treated there like he has been treated by his boss in the WWE.
