Raw currently have four active championships in contention all of which have changed hands a few times last year.

While the Intercontinental Championship has seen an increase in value since the past year after it was won by Seth Rollins, the other championships have not been so lucky.

The Universal Championship changed hands once when Roman Reigns finally defeated Brock Lesnar for it, but was won by Lesnar again not much later and has not been put on the line much after that.

Other than that, the tag team championships have lost a lot of value as it has been tossed around between many makeshift tag teams and has not found a solid champion yet.

The Raw Women’s Championship is in the hands of Ronda Rousey who is definitely a good competitor who hasn’t lost a single match since her arrival into the company last year.

Even though Ronda is a good wrestler, it is time for her to let go of the championship and another champion should be crowned in the form of Sasha Banks.

Since the SmackDown Women’s Championship has changed hands four times in the past year, we have at least 3 reasons why Sasha Banks should win the Raw Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble.

#3 To end Ronda Rousey’s winning streak

Ronda Rousey is yet to lose her first match in WWE, and fans can’t help but constantly speculate who will be the first woman to beat The Baddest Woman on the Planet.

While names such as Becky Lynch and Charlotte seem like the top choices, Sasha Banks is an equally good choice on the Raw roster.

The former NXT Champion and four-time Women’s Champion is a good wrestler who has a large fanbase who believe in her and her abilities to beat Ronda Rousey.

Winning streaks have never worked too well, and since Asuka’s winning streak it seems like WWE should do away with the winning streak ways.

Ronda Rousey is an extremely gifted superstar but should lose her first match sooner than later so that the playing field is levelled on the flagship brand once again. No one likes an unbeatable champion who gives little chances to others, and Rousey needs to lose her first match soon so that she can become a more competitive wrestler.

#2 To give the Raw women’s roster a better chance

The Raw women’s roster is filled with some extremely talented wrestlers who have put in a lot of hard work to reach the position they are on at the moment.

We have seen wrestlers such as Sasha, Bayley, Natalya, and others fall down the ranks because of the introduction of Ronda Rousey who has become an unbeatable figure.

While mainly Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss have gotten to compete with Rousey, it’s good to see Sasha being pushed up and given a chance to compete with her.

If Sasha is to win the Raw Women’s Championship, it will be best for the entire brand who can get a chance to take a shot at the title.

While it seems like Sasha will be teaming up with Bayley to compete for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, Sasha should first beat Ronda Rousey and take the championship away from her to increase the competition at the top of the mountain.

#1 To move Ronda to the SmackDown Live brand

Ronda Rousey has managed to get in more rivalries on the SmackDown brand than on the Raw brand. She’s cost Becky Lynch her SmackDown Championship once and also competed against Charlotte which did not end well.

With the emergence of such feuds, it is possible that WWE will plan to move Ronda to the SmackDown Live brand where she can find some good rivalries for the next six months at least.

SmackDown will be moving to the FOX Broadcasting soon and there is a possibility that Fox would want Ronda on SmackDown to further increase the viewership of the brand as one of the biggest names in sports entertainment.

Losing to Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble, then competing in the Royal Rumble match and winning it to challenge the champion of SmackDown for WrestleMania 35 could prove to be a great move and create a lot of hype amid unpredictability.
