One of the biggest issues with WWE today is the fact that there is a distinct lack of heels who can actually draw heat from the audience and make the fans hate them. Nowadays, too many of WWE's so-called villains are more interested in hitting a moonsault from the top rope to impress a crowd than actually getting booed.

Gone are the days of heels having things thrown at them on the way to the ring because the audience despise them so much, and because of that fans are instantly less connected to everything.

They care less about the babyface, they care less about the storyline, which ultimately means they care less about the match itself. This is why we no longer see the crowd loudly involved in anything like what happened at Double or Nothing between Cody Rhodes and his brother Dustin, because of a lack of emotion.

Shane McMahon is one of WWE's only true heels right now, as the fans actively hate him. Much like when Baron Corbin (another great heel), appears on the screen, fans boo and chant, because they do not like them.

If Shane was to win the WWE Championship, especially if he was the guy to take it away from Kofi Kingston after his emotional journey to the title, you are guaranteed to get huge heat from the crowd, with Shane McMahon becoming public enemy number one.

From then on, every segment he is involved with should become golden. The fans would be incredibly invested, getting behind whatever babyface is attempting to take the title from him, which should create for some fantastic television, which is what WWE needs right now.
