Shane has always been loved as a face by the WWE Universe, and that is why his heel turn came as a surprise to many. However, his subsequent run has been impressive. With Drew McIntyre serving as his protector, and Elias and The Revival thriving under his wing, Shane is at the helm of a proper stable. All five superstars are generating real heel heat, while also making everyone involved look pretty strong - largely due to the exploits of The Scottish Psychopath.

There is a flip-side to this though: Shane may be the best villain in the company at the moment, but overexposure will not do him any good; it has already made most of his segments uni-dimensional. Every time he comes out, he starts speaking about him being the best in the world, while his henchmen agree heartily. If Vince is really considering Shane as a superstar, he needs to come up with fresh feuds for him very soon.

Whatever Vince does in the WWE, it is aimed at attracting more audience and Shane is a proven top draw. He always has the capability to do something unthinkable, which he immediately proved after his return to the company when he jumped from the Hell in a Cell structure during his WrestleMania match against The Undertaker.

Shane has always had that 'Daredevil' aspect to his gimmick. Now, he is exploring another direction by fronting a stable, which so far been successful, but not overwhelmingly so. WWE has to be careful and not overdo things. Shane is a McMahon, and that in itself causes a lot of viewers to tune in - this has to be the biggest reason why he has been getting so much screen-time on the WWE television lately.
