3 reasons why we could get Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 35

A triple threat match is on the horizon
A triple threat match is on the horizon

WWE has been changing its plans right and left ever since Kofi Kingston pulled off an incredible performance in a SmackDown gauntlet match.

Kofi followed it up with another star-making moment inside the Elimination Chamber. Listening to the sea of fans, WWE decided to finally give Kofi a chance at the top prize, but Mr. McMahon snatched it away from him this past week, handing the shot over to a returning Kevin Owens.

This has fuelled speculations of Kofi getting his match at WrestleMania 35. But will we really get the moment we have been clamoring for, or will WWE do another swerve heading into the grandest stage of them all? Here are three reasons why WWE will give us a triple threat match for the WWE title at WrestleMania.

#3 No time left to insert Owens in another match

There's no time to build another feud for Owens
There's no time to build another feud for Owens

Kevin Owens was slated to return and thrust immediately into the title picture, but Kofi's marathon performances changed all that.

Now, WWE won't have much time left after Fastlane to build towards a fresh feud for Owens. What they will do instead is to turn this match into a triple threat so as to cater to a returning Kevin Owens and give him a major spot on the show of shows.

#2 They won't waste Owens' return

A months-long hype won't be scrapped at the last moment
A months-long hype won't be scrapped at the last moment

WWE has invested too much in Kevin Owens over the past several months to just throw everything out the window in an instant.

The company knew that continuing with the original plans for Bryan vs Owens at Mania would have been a disaster as fans wanted Kofi to have his moment on the big stage. They took the right decision in removing Kofi from the Fastlane match so that he would get his shot at the show of shows.

But that doesn't mean WWE would put Owens on the sideline until after WrestleMania. The match could be turned into a triple threat fest, in an attempt to continue with Owens' storyline. For the fans' sake, it's almost a guarantee that Kofi will win, but he will have to go through two bonafide superstars to pull off the unthinkable.

#1 Adding some Star power

WWE has treated Kofi as a comedy mid carder since 2014

No matter how much fans want the company to give Kofi his moment at the show of shows, the fact remains that WWE doesn't trust Kofi as a main event player.

He has been treated as a comedy character with his New Day gimmick since 2014. The only reason WWE changed their Mania plans was to cater to the WWE Universe. But that doesn't mean that WWE would want to put all their eggs in the same basket.

A singles match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston doesn't scream a star-studded affair. Hence, WWE will insert a white-hot returning Owens into the match, to give the match a big-time Mania feel.

Owens' update promos have been received well by the fans, and his return on SmackDown was met with a sea of loud cheers, signifying the fact that Owens is more over with the fans than he ever was. His inclusion in the match will be a much-needed boost to the star power of the bout.
