What twists and turns await?

Following a substandard episode of RAW last week, the company will be eager to deliver a better show this week. Stomping Grounds, which is the next pay-per-view of WWE, is just one week away. Hence, the fans will be expecting an action-packed show before Stomping Grounds.

Several big names were missing from RAW last week. The Revival became the RAW Tag Team Champions after winning the triple threat Tag Team match. Becky Lynch and Bayley teamed up to take on Alexa Bliss and Lacey Evans, while Shane McMahon celebrated his Super ShowDown victory against Roman Reigns.

The IIconics defended the twin belts against two local competitors. Lars Sullivan decimated the Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 Elimination Handicap match, while Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens fought in the main event of the night.

The upcoming RAW will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Baron Corbin will choose a special guest referee for the Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at Stomping Grounds. A Fatal 5-Way match will take place to decide the number one contender of US Title. Furthermore, Daniel Bryan will show up on the red brand through Wild Card Rule.

Here we discuss three shockers we could see on RAW this week.

#3 Roman Reigns might get backup

Roman Reigns is scheduled to face Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds. The Big Dog skipped RAW and SmackDown Live last week, but he is expected to be present this week. Following a humiliating loss at Super ShowDown, Reigns will be eyeing revenge at Stomping Grounds, which is just one week away.

Reigns lost to Shane McMahon, and it was his first loss this year. Since McIntyre was at ringside, the Scottish Psychopath's distraction helped Shane to pin Reigns. Considering Shane will be the back-up of McIntyre at Stomping Grounds, Reigns will be cautious to repeat the same mistakes.

It will not be surprising if Reigns decides to bring his brothers to prevent the interference of Shane McMahon. The Usos have been part of this storyline, as the Bloodline reunited a couple of weeks ago. Jimmy and Jey could help to deliver a fair match at Stomping Grounds.

#2 Bray Wyatt could get a match at Stomping Grounds

There is no denying that Bray Wyatt has been the highlight of the red brand in the last few weeks. The former WWE Champion has been delivering stupendous segments in the Firefly House every week. Wyatt has changed his persona and his new gimmick is contrasting to his old one. Considering Wyatt also showed his dark side, he is likely to have a split personality.

Though Bray Wyatt's promos are impressive, overdoing it could derail the momentum of his new character. Judging by the Firefly House segments, the company might have big plans for the new Bray Wyatt. Hence, it will not be surprising if the former WWE Champion announces his in-ring return this week.

The red brand has a talented pool of Superstars and it will be interesting to see who could become the first opponent of the new Bray Wyatt. He is not likely to face a top guy after returning to the squared circle as a feud with a mid-carder could help him to build the momentum.

#1 Paul Heyman could be announced the guest referee of the Universal Championship match

Baron Corbin will face Seth Rollins for the most coveted prize of the red brand at Stomping Grounds. Corbin will choose a guest referee of his preference this week. The company already gave us a hint this week when Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens came out to support Corbin. In fact, Zayn was the guest referee when Owens faced Rollins to close the show.

Brock Lesnar couldn't cash in the Money in the Bank contract at Super ShowDown as Rollins prevented it. Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman revealed last week that his client could cash in the briefcase anytime. Since Brock Lesnar is also an integral part of this storyline, Corbin might choose Heyman as the guest referee at Stomping Grounds.

Both Lesnar and Corbin have a common rivalry with Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar could execute his plan to cash in the briefcase on Rollins if Heyman becomes the referee. Following a loss at Super ShowDown, Corbin will be eager to avenge the loss and Heyman could give him the upper hand in this bout.
