3 storylines that should not have been booked  at WWE Elimination Chamber 2019

Elimination Chamber received positive reviews from the WWE Universe.

Well, Vince McMahon would be head over heels due to the success of Elimination Chamber 2019. Yes, WWE Elimination Chamber received mostly positive reviews from both WWE fans and critics alike.

The pay-per-view emerged as a dark horse and a lot of that credit goes to the main event of the show. After winning hearts in the Gauntlet match last week on SmackDown Live, Kofi Kingston gave another stellar performance to spellbound the WWE Universe. The chemistry between him and Daniel Bryan(the final two in the WWE Championship match) was truly spectacular.

While WWE got most of the things right for the pay-per-view, which includes Finn Balor winning the Intercontinental gold, Fan Favourite Becky Lynch decimating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, Kofi Kingston having his moments, WWE Creative did end up missing a few tricks at the event. In other words, WWE did end up goofing up a bit and it might haunt them in the long run.

So, without further ado, we take a look at 3 storylines which should not have been booked at Elimination Chamber 2019.

#3 Braun Strowman being put down by heels once again

Strowman was decimated by the heels in his match against Corbin.
Strowman was decimated by the heels in his match against Corbin.

Well, The Monster among Men, Braun Strowman clashed with Baron Corbin for the umpteenth time in a No Disqualification match. While people were expecting Strowman to destroy Corbin, things did not go as expected.

Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre interfered in the match and the duo, along with Corbin, completely decimated Strowman. And the same old story repeated itself once again.

Are not we already sick of it?

Instead of having him decimate Corbin to build on momentum and credibility, WWE chose to have him conquered by the heels once again. However, all is not lost yet.

WWE could have a 3-on-1 feud and have Strowman completely destroy all these 3 men to regain his lost momentum.

#2 Lio Rush getting attacked by Bobby Lashley

Lasley lost his Intercontinental title to Finn Balor.

Finn Balor defied all the odds to win the Intercontinental Championship in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush at Elimination Chamber.

However, the fact that Lio Rush gave away the match to Balor, and scummed to a pin irked The Almighty which resulted in Lasley attacking Rush after the match.

Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley have been a great heel pair on the Raw roster. Given Lashley is a tad underwhelming on the mic, WWE made a wise decision to make Lio Rush his manager. However, with Lashley attacking Rush last night, the partnership between the duo might be over.

Also, with Lashley attacking Strowman along with McIntyre last night, it seems that the Almighty will feature in a feud with Strowman and Rush might return back to 205 live.

Given the duo were so successful as heels, with Lio complementing Lashley, it might not be a wise decision to end their partnership so quickly.

#1 Samoa Joe getting undermined again

Samoa Joe was eliminated very early in the WWE Championship match.
Samoa Joe was eliminated very early in the WWE Championship match.

Samoa Joe featured in the six-man Elimination Chamber matchup along with Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton and AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. However, of all the six men Joe was the first one to get eliminated, and that too very early in the match.

Well, I have said it before, I will say it again, Samoa Joe is one of the most underrated superstars on the WWE roster. If you even have the slightest of doubts on his talent, you should take a look at his work with Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles. With the amount of talent, experience and credibility that he has, he deserves to be in the main event scene.

However, the WWE Creative has been undermining him for the last few months, and Elimination Chamber was no different as Joe was the very first one to be eliminated.
